"I still can't believe it. You two are all grown up and getting an apartment together. Soon you'll be having kids and--" I stopped her.
"Mom." I forced out, my blush making it hard to talk. "We aren't together." I said for the hundredth time today.
"Oh, whatever Macy." She rolled her eyes and picked up one of my boxes handing it to Travis. "I am getting older but I haven't lost my sight yet. You are always touching each other, it's quite disgusting actually. You know PDA is unnecessary and you are using protection aren't you? You're father will faint if you come home pregnant." I gasped.
"Mother." I scolded.
"What?" She asked innocently.
"Oh my God." I muttered under my breath. I grabbed a box and walked outside beside Travis so I could escape her.
"I'm sorry." I apologized.
"My God, me too." He said.
We sat the boxes down in the back of his pickup and stood there looking at each other. "This seems insane." I said quietly.
"It is." He said as he leaned down and left a soft kiss on my lips.
"Macy Grace White!" I heard my mom yell, I broke away.
"What?" I shouted back.
"You're father is laying on the floor, when he wakes up he's gonna be mad." She was giving me a dirty look.
I started walking towards the door. "What are you talking about?" I asked.
I walked in the door and my dad was lying on the ground and it looked like he was sleeping. Coffee was escaping from the tipped over mug.
"What happened?" I asked worriedly.
"He looked out the window and seen you two eating each other's faces off." I started laughing.
"He passed out?" I asked between breaths.
"No, he's playing dead. Yes he's passed out!" She said angry cause I was laughing.
"I'm sorry." I said trying to stop myself from laughing. Dad started coming to and when he was fully awake he gave me a dirty look.
"You said you two weren't together." He said trying to keep himself calm. "You lied to me." He sat up and grabbed his coffee mug. He stuck it in the sink and went outside.
I followed him. "Dad, we aren't together." I tried. He stopped.
"I just saw you two, you seemed pretty together to me." He said angrily.
"Daddy, please let me explain." He hated liars, I knew that. I don't understand the big deal at all, Travis and I are just friends. I like him but relationships are difficult, friendships however, easy as 1 2 3.
"We aren't dating. I swear on my life, I like him though. We're just friends." He looked down at me and he still looked mad.
"So what are you guys; Friends with benefits?" He asked with distaste.
"No. Well-um. I don't know. We're just friends and sometimes we kiss." I answered gesturing back to Travis's truck.
"He's not your boyfriend?" He questioned.
