I glanced across the room at the muscular man that was gently unpacking his things. I turned back and started doing the same.

"Hey, kid. I never got your name."

I looked up at him as he patiently waited for my response.

"Shawn." I said blankly as I sat on my bed

The guy nodded but never said his name. He just walked into the bathroom closing the door behind him. I sighed of relief and flopped back onto my bed. My first day at college, and my dorm mate won't even say his name.

The bathroom door clicked open as he walked over to his bed. I caught myself staring at him, but didn't stop. He turned around and looked at me. I quickly turned away as if I had been a criminal caught at the scene.

"Dude why are you staring?"

His words echoed around the room as I lifted myself off the bed, now sitting on just the edge.

"Are you gay or something?" He scoffed out of his lips. His plump, pink lips. I shook my head no, even though it was a lie. He rolled his eyes and started putting his clothing into drawers next to his bed. I simply crawled into my bed sheets and pulled the blanket over me. My mind started to wander. There was a knock at the door.

"Can you get that kid?"

I was too deep in thought to notice. The guy turned around and threw a bottle cap at me to get my attention. I sat up and picked the cap off of the blanket.

"What?" I sternly said as I heard the knocking continue. I got up and opened the door. Two guys barged they're way in pushing me aside. I scoffed watching the trio converse with a nasty look on my face that caught the eye of my dorm mate.

"Stop staring and wipe that look off your face"

The guys all turned and looked at me. I didn't know what to say or do so I ran out of the dorm. I leaned against the wall next to the door leading into my dorm. I slumped down with my face as red as a tomato from embarrassment. I watched the clock on the wall in front of me as I thought to myself: This is gonna be a long year.

Sorry this was such a short chapter, as time progresses I'll be better at writing, this is my first story.
