~Jacob's POV~

I was halfway down the hall walking to my lecture when I remembered who was in the kid's class as well. I couldn't just leave him there to be picked on and annoyed to his limit. It's like throwing a piece of meat into a crowd of hungry tigers.

I walked back to the class I left him in and walked in. "You're late!" I nodded and made my way over to the only seat, next to Shawn. "Sorry, I left my book in my dorm and had to go back to get it."

The kid perked up when he heard me as I sat down next to him.

I noticed my friends kicking his chair. I glared at Charlie with a look on my face saying 'cut it out'. He stopped almost instantly when he saw the look painted across my face.

I could feel the kid staring at me as I took notes. I didn't stop him, I kinda liked the attention I was getting from him. I didn't know why, I just did. I felt Charlie staring at me as well. I looked behind me and saw a look if disgust across his face. I shrugged and rasped out quietly, "What? I could feel it on my seat too."

I caught out of the corner of my eye, the kid turning his head away and laying it on his desk. I turned back around and knew no one could see me shuffle my foot against his. The kid perked up and I jerked back. I kept my eyes on the chalkboard at the front of the class. The kid shuffled his foot over to mine while he took notes, reassuring me that he was thankful that I stopped Charlie. I smiled ever so slightly but stopped after I caught myself.

I didn't know what I was feeling but it made me feel tingly inside. It made me excited for the next time me and Shawn could be alone. I put my elbows on my desk and my face in my hands. The kid noticed that something was bothering me and nudged my foot. I snapped up and continued my notes just before the bell rang. What is happening to me...

A/N: sorry this chapter was really short but I just felt like torturing my readers. Jk but really, I got writers block so I'm gonna make the next chapter at least 600 words.
