If you know what a sanctuary is, you should know that love is exactly that:
A sanctuary.
It makes you feel safe, secure, happy, content, and warm.
Love is a treehouse:
It's a nostalgic home that makes you feel at ease, despite the fear of it failing.
Love is a baby blanket:
You feel warm, safe and secure when you're wrapped up in it, like your lover's arms after a long, difficult day.
Love is your favorite stuffed animal:
It's warm and makes you feel happy when you're snuggled up with it, despite how old and torn it may be, you can't help but love it despite it's flaws - just like the person or people you love.
Love is your favorite smell:
Whatever it may be, you'll never want to stop smelling it. You want to bathe in that scent forever, you love the smell no matter what others say about it - just like the person or people you may love.
But overall, love is a sanctuary:
It's safe, it's warm, it's cozy, it's safe, it's secure.
Love is a sanctuary:
It's your home.
