Well, another chapter is here. Hope you all enjoy it.
Naruto's POV:
Naruto had searched the entire village for someplace to live. Unfortunately though, unless he wanted to buy an abandoned building and try to fix it up, he was out of luck. He was making his way back when he heard shouting. He followed the noise and was shocked by what he saw. The green-haired girl from the forest was running down the street with what looked like the entire Taki village after her. They were yelling and shaking brooms, rakes, and other household items t her like weapons. Several picked up rocks and threw threw them at her. One rock hit the side of her head and she fell down. The crowd swarmed around her, and Naruto winched as he heard the grunts of pain.
Before he knew what he was doing, he had formed signs and sent a blast of wind through the crowd, stopping them in their tracks. Naruto walked into the middle of the street, his face a mask of anger, no one should be treated this way, the way he used to be when he was little.
"What are you doing?" One of the villagers asked. "Why would you stop us from killing the demon? We had finally caught her."
Naruto narrowed his eyes. "Is this how you would treat one of your ninja? Like trash?" His eyes scanned the crowd, most of whom were confused and a little bit frightened. The green-haired girl was watching from on the ground behind Naruto, grateful to this strange boy who would save her even after she had just caught him.
"Are you people so cruel that you would torment someone for no reason?" Naruto continued. "Well? Are you?"
One of the villagers stood up. "You look new, so maybe you aren't aware, but this girl carries the seven-tails, a demon. This makes her a threat to us all, no better than a demon herself. Leave her to us and run along. Don't get involved in things you don't understand." The villager took a few steps forward as if to resume beating the girl.
Naruto's eyes turned red with rage. His chakra cloak enveloped him and he punched the man clear down the street. The man in question slammed into the nearest wall, turning him into a blood splatter staining it. The villagers were in shock. Naruto advanced, forcing them back with his presence, now filled with killing intent.
"Never harm her again, or else." Naruto growled. The villagers shook their heads fearfully, then they dashed off, clearing the street in seconds. Naruto turned to where the green-haired girl was staring wide-eyed at him.
"You ok?" Naruto asked gently.
Fuu's POV:
Fuu stared up at the blonde-haired boy. "Dear God." She thought. "I never knew he was such a monster."
The boy reached out a hand. "I'm Naruto Uzumaki." He said. "What's your name?"
"Fuu." She replied.
"Does this happen often?" He asked her.
Fuu nodded. "More or less every day. Though this is the first time they've tried to actually kill me." She watched Naruto's face to gage his reaction.
"Well, I won't let them treat you like this anymore, ok?" He told her. He reached out a hand and helped her to her feet. Then he picked her up bridal style, with Fuu blushing at the action, though she couldn't say why. "Come on." He said. Running down the street. "We need to get you to a hospital."
"But they won't treat me." Fuu said.
"They will, or I will send them to hell." Naruto said in a growl.
"R-right." Fuu said. She decided to simply be content in Naruto's arms. "Am I starting to fulfill my mission already, or is this something he would do for anyone. Ugh! How am I supposed to convince him to stay if I know nothing about him."
Another thought entered her mind as they continued to the hospital. "Is this what friends do for each other?"
<Timeskip>
Fuu and Naruto walked out of the hospital side by side. As Fuu had predicted, the staff hadn't wanted to treat her, but after Naruto was enveloped in his chakra cloak and picked one of them up and slammed them to the ground, they rethought their decision. She walked out having had the best medical care she had ever received.
"Do you have a place to stay?" Naruto asked her. Fuu nodded. "Would you mind if I borrow your couch for tonight? I don't have a place to sleep." Naruto blushed with embarrassment.
"Sure." Fuu said. "Is this how I get him to stay?" Fuu shook her head as she lead Naruto towards her house. "Maybe? I don't know." Fuu sighed. "I am no good at making friends."
Soon they reached her house. "Nice place you got here." Naruto complemented.
Fuu shrugged her shoulders. "I guess. It was the only one I could get. And even then, I had to get Shibuki to force them to sell it to me."
"Oh." Naruto said. He looked at the house thoughtfully.
"What is he thinking?" Fuu thought nervously. "Does he not like it?"
"Hey Fuu, am I intruding? I wouldn't want to inconvenience you." Naruto asked.
"No. Not at all. Please come in." Fuu said. "Make yourself at home."
<Timeskip>
Fuu and Naruto had eaten a small but filling dinner that Naruto had made.
"Wow Naruto, I didn't realize that you could cook!"
"When you live on your own for three years, you need to know how to cook." Naruto replied.
"Three years? Where did you live?" Fuu asked, surprised.
"Here and there. Mostly wherever I could get a job. Honestly, the hard part was trying to train."
"What do you mean?"
"Well, you know how you found me in the woods?" Naruto asked. Fuu nodded. "I was training when you found me." Naruto explained.
"Oh." Fuu said. "You had to find remote locations so you wouldn't be caught training?"
"Right." Naruto said, smiling at her. Fuu felt herself blush. "Anyway, I'm going to sleep." Naruto said. He lay down on the couch and pulled covers over him.
"Naruto." Fuu said.
"Hm."
"Thank you for saving me. I don't know what I would've done without you."
"Sure thing Fuu. anytime." Came Naruto's reply. Fuu heard his gentle snoring fill the room. She smiled, then got up and went to her room and lay down. As she lay there, she contemplated the day's events, and her new friend. "Are we friends?" Fuu asked herself. "I'd like to hope so but I don't know." Fuu felt her eyes close as she fell asleep, unaware that, someone had been watching the two jinchuriki the whole day. Neither did she, nor anyone else, notice the mysterious figure dash off towards the village center, with evil intent in mind.
OK. Again, not my best chapter, but I would like to think that it is not the best because I haven't really got the story rolling yet. Hopefully chapter five will fix that. Well, until next time... BYE!!!
