And, we're back. Hope you're ready, because it's about to get heavy.
Fuu's POV:
The hokage looked more than happy to see Naruto returned, and Fuu was happy that Naruto wasn't completely hated at his village. "Wait... would it still be his village?" Fuu asked herself. "Since he ran a way three years back. Hm." Fuu wondered to herself.
"Now Naruto..." The hokage said. "Are you going to keep my out of the loop or our you going to introduce me to your girlfriend?" She looked at Fuu, who immediately stepped behind Naruto to hide herself. For some reason, she felt very shy, though she couldn't say why.
Naruto's grin grew wider as he gently pulled her out from behind him. "Grandma Tsunade, this is Fuu. She's a close friend I made while I was away." Fuu noticed that Naruto didn't deny that Fuu was his girlfriend, nor did he confirm it, which for some reason made her feel sad for a moment, though again she couldn't say why. Fuu focused back on the present and shyly waved. Tsunade nodded in acknowledgement to her and reached out her hand.
"Nice to meet you Fuu." She said.
Fuu reached out her hand and cautiously grasped the hokage's. Immediately she pulled back as she sensed something the instant they touched hands.
Tsunade's face widened in shock for a moment before it became blank. She turned to Naruto. "So, do you want to tell me why your friend is pregnant, or do you want her to tell me instead?"
Naruto put an arm around Fuu. "Don't worry, you can trust her." He whispered to her. Then he turned to Tsunade, "Actually that is the very reason we've come to see you. I think it will make more sense after I tell our story to you first though. Might we sit and talk awhile?"
Tsunade nodded and gestured to two chairs, which Naruto pulled over, helping Fuu to sit in one before he sat in another.
"So... care to explain yourself?" Tsunade said. Naruto nodded.
"You see, it all started with..."
<Timeskip>
Naruto finished his tale. He had filled her in from when he had left up to his return that day, leaving out some details for the sake of time and necessity. Tsunade's face remained fixed in surprise for most of the story. She obviously hadn't expected him to be able to so easily make it on his own outside the village.
"So basically you need me to help you make sure the baby is healthy until it is born?" Tsunade said. Naruto and Fuu nodded. "That's it? You needed nothing else?"
Naruto's face fell for a moment before he answered. "No offense grandma, but the only reason I decided we had to see you at all was because I didn't know enough medical jutsu to check on it myself, otherwise I wouldn't have bothered. As it is, I actually didn't like the idea of just strolling through the gates with Jiraiya either. But it was the only way to get Fuu and the kid the care they need. Will you help us?"
Tsunade smiled. "Like I could ever say no to you Naruto. Of course I'll help you. But I won't be able to do as much personally as you might think. We're lucky that I've managed to keep everyone but Shizune out of here as long as I have. I doubt I could get away with mysteriously vanishing for some unknown reason without someone eventually finding out. However, I know two people who would be more than happy to assist." Tsunade pulled some files from her desk and handed them to Naruto. "You remember Sakura and Ino, right Naruto?"
Naruto looked at the characteristics file for the mentioned kunoichi. "This bring back so many memories." He said, tears welling in his eyes. Fuu put a hand on his back, trying to comfort him. She just couldn't stand to see him so sad, it made her sad too, though once again she didn't understand why that was. Naruto smiled at her and placed a hand on her back in acknowledgement before turning back to the files in his hand.
