Ashton-
“I hope you know
For you I'd sacrifice
To make this right”
“What? What do you want me to do?” I cried, running my fingers through my hair.
“I-I don’t know!” Y/N yelled back, “I-I’m so confused!”
“Just tell me what you want, Y/N! What?” I ran up to her, my hands reaching for her cheeks as she leaned into them.
“I-I…” She stuttered, almost sounding distraught.
“Anything, Baby. I’ll do anything to keep you.” My eyes stung, my negative thoughts consuming me.
“T-The band, A-Ashton.” She rubbed her temples. “I-It takes you away from me. I need you here with me, a-and all the traveling a-and-” Y/N began to sob before calming herself down, “I can’t handle this band anymore. It’s not exactly a “sustainable” lifestyle, Ash. I need sustainable right now.”
Y/N backed out of my hands, wiping her tears with her sleeve and shrugging her shoulders lightly.
“I’m sorry.” She whispered, picking up her coat and walking over to the door.
“W-Wait,” I croaked my voice bare. “You want me to leave-” I cut myself off, “The band,” I began, walking towards her, “That band is my life. It’s what I live, I breathe; it’s all I am, and I’ve ever aspired to be since I can remember!” I flare my arms, “I-I’m not sure if I can give up the thing I’ve always dreamed of doing, Y/N.”
“You don’t have to-”
“But wouldn’t that mean losing you! The best person I have ever come across. Wouldn’t not giving up the band mean that I will end up with someone that... That isn’t you?” I rub my temples; this is all too much.
“Ashton, I’m not going to make you stand here and make the decision right this minute. But, as of right now, we are no longer together-”
“Y/N, Please. Listen to me, please. I-I love you-”
“Let me finish,” She interrupted. “As of right now, we are no longer together,” I whimpered, covering my mouth with my clammy hand and she paused, tears welling in her eyes. “A-And if you would like to continue this... us… call me when you have made up your mind. I’m praying that you will call me.” She spoke, whispering the last sentence.
