School took around fifteen minutes for the carriage to get there. I was still processing the colour change. It was completely new and i dont think it's normal for someone's eyes to turn liquid gold. I fear if they are going to change colour again, someone will see and I will be classed as a freak. That is pretty daunting, and scary.
I get out of the carriage, and waved the man who drove it goodbye, and started walking towards the school. Students talking, walking, and communicating all around me, I guess it was normal, seeing as though I had not many friends, and so many poeople around me was normal.
I walked quickly, the click-clack of my heels across the concrete pathway keeping me up so it didn't let me sway into daydreaming.
Getting into the school, I put my bags on the hooks and sit down, waiting for the siren to be called. I spot someone, a fair-haired girl with light eyes and a round face. She had a childish look about her, still in her innocence but her eyes told me she was wild with an evil side, and a smile that makes the men around her line up just to court her.
Amelia Bradstone. My best friend, and my sister. Figuratively of course, not my actual sister, the height difference was one. I was way taller than her. Like a freak.
Amelia shuffled her self over to me, wearing her hair braided and styled, her light blonde hair bubbling free, her eyes were excited, warm. She was wearing a salmon pink dress, the corset she wore showed all off her curves, while I had no corset, as I just didn't feel like it today, even though it was expected ladies do, but I felt like I would die if I wore it today. Normally I do not find them, seeing my natural slim figure, with almost no bust at all. Ugh, you see some ladies with massive breats, just managing to keep them under their dresses, and you see mine and think 'Jesus, she has nothing. What man would want her if he can't have anything good to hold onto?'
Well, that's what I think in my head. Today I just wanted to be free with what I wore today, the tight things didn't really interest me. I really didn't know why, so much weird things are happening to me. Ever since I turned sixteen... Ever since I had that dream... Ever since I drowned in that lake...
"... Anira, my Lord wake up! Snap out of it!" Amelia was clicking her fingers in my face.
I came back into reality, just grasping the details of her face. They were in much more detail. Actually, everything was, the way her lips were glossed over, I could see the moisture in her lips. Her skin was flustered slightly, rosy cheeks contemplating her round face, and big light blue eyes. It was in significant detail, I couldn't believe it.
"What?" I said in a daze.
She looked at me, looking intently at me, and I stared back at her. She narrowed her eyes at me. "Are you alright? You look so pale, like death itself."
Unwelcome shivers creeped up my spine. Her English accent was clear in her voice, a sweet tune to it, as if a melody was being played, although now the tones of her voice were more fine, more detailed. Just like my sight. Hmm strange.
"I'm fine Lia, I just had a bad dream last night, and I had a weird morning today." I said detractively, thinking of my eyes changing colour. Her nickname was Lia, and my nickname was Ani or Rose, since my name was hyphened.
"What happened this morning, and what did you dream last night?" She asked, looking genuinely curious.
I launched into detail about my dream, including me getting chased my men that were called Vampires, and Lia looked paler when I finished. I never told her that what happened with the men was actually true, that I really did drown, but the fact that they were something that was myth didn't sound all that good.
I told her about the Superiors, about them wanting me to create a new Supernatural species, about my new species the Werewolf, and the Vampire Goddess Serena. I remember the Superiors saying that I could only tell the people who were close to me and my family, so it would Lia would would. She is at the least, family to me.
Lia listened intently, nodded and looked shocked at some things I said, and waited until I finished before she said any questions. She started on her first. "That Vampire Godess, Sarah was it? No Serena, yes Serena. Did you feel like you knew her? Or was she just like this random person in your dream?"
I had felt a sense of familiarity when I was just about to fall asleep. "I did kind of, but I knew she was just a figment of my imagination. It as a very realistic dream though."
Lia nodded, and then looked at me. "The dream sounds like a really cool but scary dream. What happened this morning?"
I sighed cautiously. "I thought I saw my eye colour change."
Lia looked at me. "You thought your eye colour changed?"
"No, Lia I thought I saw a goblin shoving a rainbow up my arse." That earned me a whack from Lia on my arm, I laughed, since I didn't really feel it. Normally I bruise easily, but it don't think I will be getting a bruise even if by the sound she hit me hard.
"Anira-Rose, that language is not good to hear. My Lord, I cannot believe you said such a word." Her face was serious, but her eyes held a spark of mischief. She thought it was funny, and I was still too shocked that I said anything like that.
"I'm so sorry, I don't know what came over me. I was possessed like a mad child." I said with almost a whisper, I felt so ashamed.
"That you are Rose, that you are." She smiles lightly, a little giggle escaping her lips.
I heard the siren, and we got up and walked into the classroom, ready to start learning. I sat down, and waited patiently for the teacher. I sat next to Lia, and another girl whom I wasn't sure of her name. Eventually, the teacher came in and started his lecture.
I felt a sleeping sensation warm over me, and I felt my head getting heavier before I fell asleep.
