Chapter 10

Roni's POV
We are at Alex and Aaron Buriss's apartment. We are filming a collab. The only thing is it kinda turned into us just talking. So, I guess that this might be a fail. And there is some stuff I said I don't want online.
Anyways, Nessa's acting a little weird and Aaron is pretty rude. He can be kinda nice sometimes, but it's mostly not towards me. He is nice to Nessa though. I'm not sure why. We are ordering some takeout for dinner because none of us can cook. Right now we are just talking while we wait for our postmate. I am talking to Alex about random stuff while Nessa is talking to Aaron. I'm not sure how they get along so good! It's not very fair cause my crush on him is slowly growing. It seems like the harder I try to push away my feelings for him the more they come back.
The food is here! I can't wait to eat, then I don't have to talk.
"Yay! Food!" Nessa yells! Aaron smiles. I'm sure he likes her. Just like all the other boys I've liked. Of course!
Alex gets out some plates and puts down the takeout.
"Let's eat! You can all sit down now." Alex says awkwardly. I sit down next to Nessa.
"Hey Alex, I haven't gotten to talk to you," Nessa says. Great. I. Have. To. Talk. To. Aaron.
"Ok" Alex says and sits across from Nessa. And Aaron sits across from me. Maybe he will be nice this time. I'll give him a chance.
"So, what did you get?" I asked Aaron trying to make conversation
"Fried rice. I guess you weren't listening earlier." Aaron said.
"Oh yum, I got broccoli beef." I say trying to ignore his rude comment. "So, you have a YouTube channel?" I ask once again trying to make conversation.
"Yup. Do you?" Aaron says
"Uhh...yeah me and Nessa do...that's why we are here..."
"Same. I wouldn't be in the collab if I didn't have a YouTube channel."
"Oh, uh, yeah" I say quietly. I look down to pretend I am very focused on eating.
"Your Aaron's older brother right?" I accidentally say. "I-"
"You mean Alex, Vanessa?"
"Yeah, Yeah,Yeah. Sorry." I blush "Your older than Alex right?"
"Yeah I'm the oldest, wisest and best brother Alex and Andrew have."
"Who is Andrew?"
"My younger brother."
"Does he live with you?"
"No, if he did we wouldn't starve him."
"I know."
"Then why did you ask?"
"DO YOU EVER STOP BEING SO RUDE?!? Why are you all nice to Nessa and Alex, but when it comes to me you are a jerk? What did I do?" I am fed up! I feel bad doing this, but I can't stand Aaron for one more minute. I get up and walk to where I think the bathroom is. I found it.

Nessa's pov
FAIL! Roni just got up from dinner and walked away. As she was walking Aaron started to say something but shut his mouth fast. I don't think they will ever become friends. Like seriously?
"Shit" Aaron says quietly
"Really bro? That's how you handle girls you like? You just piss them off?"
"I-I Just I-I-I don't kno-" He looks up at me. I feel like I should go comfort Roni but I want to here what Aaron is going to say.
"Wait, Aaron you like Roni?" I ask. Probably shouldn't do that
"N-noooo..." He says trailing off. I quickly clasp my hand over my mouth to stop myself from screaming.
"Well, I'm going to check on Roni." I say and get up. I find the bathroom and I am about to knock when I think. Should, I make Aaron talk to her? Maybe he could turn it around. I walk back.
"Aaron...if you don't want to be enemies with Roni you might want to apologize. Just warning you, you have to be super nice or she lashes out." I tell Aaron. He looks at Alex
"You got this big bro." Alex says nudging Aaron.
I hope this works!
Aaron gets up and walks to the bathroom.

Aaron's POV
Shoot! I messed this up BIG TIME. I know Roni HATES me now! Well, here goes absolutely nothing...besides Roni hating me even more.
I knock. Silence. I knock again. I hear a sniffle then
"Who is it?"
"Umm, it's Aaron, I ju-"
"Go away please. There is something called privacy."
Shoot, well what am I supposed to do now? I walk back.
"She said she wanted privacy." I tell Alex and Nessa.
"If you seriously want her to forgive you you can't give up!" Alex says.
"Fine." I walk back.
Aaron, be nice. Think before you speak! Don't be rude and talk back. Respect her. Try to be friends with her. Then you won't be so nervous.
I knock again.
"Roni, I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to be so rude. I know you don't want to talk to me but I want to apologize to you. I really don't want to hurt you and I want to be friends" I say to Roni.
I here a sniffle. Is she crying over this?
"Roni can I please come in?"
No answer.

Roni's POV
        Aaron is standing outside the bathroom door apologizing. I want to accept it but I don't. I don't want to leave the bathroom. My makeup is partly smudged.
I wipe off the smudged makeup and open the door. There is Aaron, towering over me. I see the sadness in his eyes. I walk to him and hug him. I just couldn't let him stand there. He hugs me back and we stand there for what feel like ten minutes until Nessa walks over.
"They are fine. Just hugging." Then she turns around and walks back. I didn't think about how awkward this must be for them.
"Uhh... Roni I'm sorry" Aaron says
"I-it's Fine." I say looking at my
feet "let's go back to dinner."
(Awkward!)
"Ok" we walk back and sit down. Out of the corner of my eye I see Aaron glance at Alex and Alex gives him a thumbs up. Then there is an awkward silence. Like that kind were something just happened but nobody really wants to think about it so they are trying really hard to think of what to say or how to avoid talking.
"So, umm...should we film some more or something?" Alex says breaking the silence.
"I kinda feel like this isn't working very good." I say "like this videos wil need a LOT of editing because I said some things I don't especially want the world to know."
"Yeah" Nessa agrees
"Yup, well, Lauren is coming over later and why don't we just hang out till you guys have to go. It's a bummer it didn't work out but I totally feel the same way." Alex says. Aaron is silent.
"Yeah, I am glad that we did this though, cause you guys are awesome!" Nessa says
"I am too!" Alex say
I feel like Alex and Nessa know something I don't. I feel like they have some plan. They both are so happy. Or maybe it's just me and Aaron. Probably. Oh well.
Just then Lauren knocks on the door.
"Is that Lauren?" Nessa asks
Alex walk to the door and Nessa and I follow.

Aaron's POV
          As they go to greet Lauren I walk back to my room. I grab the memory card from the camera on my way. I know that they will nothing very I am not in there. Whether they decide to come get me probably not. I know Won't miss anything except some fifth wheeling. Right now I just need some time inside my head. I grab the journal from under my bed. My mom gave it to me when I was very young to help me with my anger. I had lots of anger as a kid and I tried to beet up kids in my elementary school many times. I luckily never seriously injured anybody but I still feel regret. I was always embarrassed to use the journal but I found it good for my anger. I found a pen in the ground and wrote out my heart.

Ok. I feel like this is just getting worse and worse. I wanted to give a shout out to AthenaDelann ! She is super supportive and really nice so thank you for urging me to keep writing.
