Chapter 17

Random passerbyer's pov
I am on a walk by a small road with a cliff on one side. I look over and see a semi truck swerve over and hit a smaller car. The car smashes through the guardrail and starts tumbling down the cliff. I grab my phone and quickly dial 911. I tell them what I saw and my location. About 20 minutes later I here sirens and the police and paramedics come. I go over to a paramedic.
"Hello, are they going to be ok?" I asked
"Do you know these girls?" He asked
"No, I haven't seen them, I was just on the side of the road when it happened."
"Well, they both knocked out. Go see if you know them." He pointed to the ambulance. In the stretcher was a beautiful young girl with long brown hair. Her face was beautiful even with smudged makeup and lots of scratches. Though, it was one I had never seen before.
"I am afraid I don't know her. What does the other one look like?" I asked
"She looks the same. I believe they are twins" someone yelled on the other side of the ambulance. On my way to my car I overheard two paramedics
"All the local hospitals are full. I think we will need to bring them to one a kinda far away." One said
"Do we have their identities?" The other one said.
"Their car to too smushed up." The first one said.
I walked back to my car feeling bad for those girls and their families.

2 hours later
Aaron's POV
While Roni was over she gave me her number and I texted her 2 hours ago, after she left and she hasn't responded. I also texted Nessa but, she too won't respond. I am getting a little worried, but I'm sure they are just busy. Just to make sure I'll call their dad.
"Hello?" Paul answers
"Hi, it's Aaron, Veronica's friend."
"Hello Aaron, what is it that called about?"
"I just wanted to make sure that Roni is safely at home, she won't respond to my texts."
"I thought she was with Nessa at Lauren's"
"No, they left with Marco 2 hours ago."
"Oh no! Have you texted Marco?"
"Yeah, He said they dropped him off and headed home."
"Oh no! I'll call them. Hold on"
He hangs up and 5 minutes later he calls back saying that they didn't answer. We are going to wait a few more hours hoping they just stopped somewhere and they don't have service.

The next day
Still Aaron's POV
I am at Roni and Nessa's and they haven't showed up. We called the police but they are really backed up because all of the hospitals are full. The police should be here any minute though. There is a knock at the door and five police officers come into the room with a worried Paul, Wendy Marco, Aaron, Lauren and Alex. We explain to the police everything that we know. They say they will try their best, but everything is very backed up right now. They leave with pictures of Roni and Nessa and lots of notes. We are all worried sick to our stomaches.

No one's pov
Meanwhile at a hospital far away two girl's who's identities are unknown are in comas. The doctors don't know how long they will be asleep. They have broken bones and deep scratches. Even their survival is unknown. One doctor tells another doctor that the girls may be asleep for multiple months or even a year.
The hospital is crowed and busy and without a need for constant care, the  staff often forget about these two girls.
