Students were allowed to come to the school at the weekend to access the facilities they required. They were allowed to access the training rooms for both elemental and physical training. Many also spent the weekend at the library to complete assignments and extra work.
The reason many student came to this library instead of the local library was because the information we required for our studies wasn't accessible there. I was definite that none of the adranes would even know what most of the creatures were, so the chances of them knowing about their history was completely non-existent.
This was why I sat on one of the tables in the school library waiting for the others to show up. I was here to do my assignment on the history of fay with Vivienne. She had agreed to come and her brother was coming as well. Matthew and Sarah were going to be working on their assignment alongside us so if any of us got stuck we could help each other out. To Vivienne's disapproval, the rest of us had decided against doing it as a four since the assignment was specifically partner assignments.
I stared out the window sighing softly. There was heavy wind blowing against the trees outside causing their branches to sway in a twisting dance. The clouds filled the sky and there was no sun in sight. Specks of blue escaped from the white curtains of the clouds.
"Liz?"
I was pulled back inside by Sarah calling my name. I hadn't realised she had arrived and sat down opposite me already. "Sorry, when did you arrive?" I apoligised.
"Only a minute ago. It seems like you have already started the work." She pointed towards the stack of books that sat on the table.
"I only went around and took out any books I thought would be helpful. I didn't find many and I haven't actually read through them yet so i'm not sure if they're useful," I said while picking up the top book in the stack and opening my notebook to take notes. I continued, "Do you know when Vivienne and Matthew are coming?"
It had been Sarah who had done all the communicating since her and Matthew had exchanged numbers after being assigned as partners. I hadn't had a chance to talk to Vivienne properly yet so this study meeting would be interesting. Especially considering that the last thing she had said something to me it was to humiliate me.
Sarah placed her notebook on the table and grabbed a book from the stack before speaking, "They should be here any minute. How was your sleep?"
I hesitated, "Not as bad as it had been friday morning. My dreams have gone back to the one in the clearing with the dragon Ezra."
I decided to not go for the sleepover just in case it became worse. I felt bad that I had to back out. Especially since I really wanted to go.
"That's good, they really seem so awful. I hope they go away soon so you can finally get some proper sleep," Sarah consoled.
"Yeah me too," I sighed.
We both went back to reading the books in front of us. So the only thing I had found out was basic Fay related knowledge. It spoke of how the Great King has been around for over 200 year and lives on an island off the coast of Spain. The island is hidden by a magical barrier that prevent other creatures from being able to see it or enter it. No non-fay creature had ever been on the island since 1723.
"Hey sorry we're late," Matthew suddenly spoke causing us to jump in surprise.
Sarah responded, "It's ok. We just began reading over a few books and taking notes. I didn't expect more people." Behind Matthew and Vivienne was James and a girl named Julia. From what I had figured out, Julia and Vivienne had become good friends over the past week.
