Annabeths Pov

He took the ring. The ring that Percy had given just one night before asking for me to and with him for ever. I stood there with two guards twisting at my arms and taunting me. I stared into Percy's eyes and saw how terrified he actually was. We've been through so much together, and right now our time is being taken away.
Percy zips the ring up in his pocket right as they take me below deck. They throw me into a bedroom and lock it tight. There are no windows in here for me to escape from. The only thing I have is my dagger, which those idiots forgot to take from me. I throw my dagger into the wall, making a large dent in it. I paced, trying to think of ways I could get out of here. I tried the door, it was still locked and barricaded. All I could do was hope that Percy could get me.
I sat down and cried. All I wanted was for Percy and I to live happily, get married, have kids. Do all the things that normal people do. But no, the gods threw us into their scheme once again. I cried so that all the gods could hear my pain and sorrow. I prayed to every single one of them asking why. WHY DID THEY NOT UNDERSTAND! We had already done enough for them! We defeated the giants and titans all for them! I understood why great demigods would often turn to the wrong side! And I was almost thinking about it. I pushed the idea away because I was smarter than that. I had to get out of this room, and help Percy.
