Chapter 10: The Wedding

Annabeths POV

"Ok, ok , ok, I'm not nervous at all." I said to Piper as I paced the room in the wedding dress.
"Annabeth you'll do great! You're the least likely person to ever mess a wedding up!"
"Ok, but what if I do! That will be so embarrassing!"
"You won't I promise!" Piper assured me.
I looked at the clock, five minutes before I walked the isle. I was so excited. Today was the day I had been dreaming ever since Percy and I got into a relationship. It made both nervous and excited.
I looked in the mirror. I really did look gorgeous. I had a minimal amount of makeup on, and my hair was in a curly up-do. I hope Percy likes it!
As I was standing there, I thought of our first quest together. I remembered the time we first met, not knowing how important we were to each other. It brought tears to my eyes.
"Piper thank you so much!" I said.
"Awww no problem Annabeth! Now I have to get out there and do all my maid of honor stuff."
"Ok." I chose Piper to be my maid of honor because we had been best friends. My bridesmaids were Reyna, Hazel, Calypso, Clarisse, and Rachel. I wasn't sure if Rachel would want to but when I asked her she got so excited that we were getting married. Grover was Percy's best man, and Leo, Frank, Jason, and still brothers were his groomsmen.
I stood there and thought of how far Percy and I had come. But, I couldn't stop thinking about that long night we had fighting Emperor Nero. As much as it scared me, it showed me that Percy truly did love me, and would be there whenever I need help. I pushed that night aside and started focusing on the present. I positioned my self as I heard the music start playing, and I started down the isle.

Percy's POV

Everyone was here, and I mean everyone. Every single camper had gathered at the beach at Camp Half Blood to watch our wedding. My best man, Grover, stood a few feet behind me trying to keep tears out of his eyes. My mom, Paul, and Mr. Chase sat in the front row. But the two here that surprised me the most, were Poseidon and Athena, sitting side by side. They both just smiled at me. They must have overcome their grudge because of Annabeth and I. It made me happy.
It was a beautiful day. A great turnout for an outdoor wedding. The water was calm, the sun shining bright, and a clear blue sky above us. The day couldn't be any better. As I stood there I thought of the first time we met. She was standing over me in the infirmary and said, "You drool when you sleep." At the time I had no idea how important she would be to me. Looking back on that memory I smiled. It made me so happy. I loved her so much. I tried to not think about the night we had fighting Nero, it made me sad. But I would always be there for her, and she would always be there for me. We could get through anything together, even Tartarus.
I pushed those thoughts aside as the music started playing. Annabeth started to walk down the aisle. Wow, I thought, she's gorgeous. As she was walking I had never felt happier in my life. She finally reached the altar, and face to face with me. Chiron was doing the ceremony.
"Perseus Jackson." He said with a smile. "Do you, take Annabeth Chase to be your wife?"
I looked her in the eye and said, "I do." She had tears forming in her eyes.
"Do you Annabeth Chase, take Perseus Jackson to be your husband?" She smiled and said, "I do." Then Chiron concluded with, "You may now kiss the bride!" And I looked at her, and she looked at me, and we kissed. It was pretty much the best kiss we had ever shared.
And as we broke apart I said. "I love you Annabeth Jackson."
"I love you too Percy." And with that we kissed again. The crowd roared as they finally got what they wanted. But, Annabeth and I were the happiest here. She was mine and I was hers, and would be together for the rest of eternity.
