Chapter 19- IT WASN”T ME!!
I didn't accept Nate's apology, not out of hatred, or anything of that sort, but because of trust issues.
After the suspicious night when I saw him burning my files, I didn't want to be close to him, ever, again.
And I thought he understood what I meant when he calmly walked away yesterday, not even putting up a fight to win me back.
I had to admit, a teeny- tiny- part of me wanted him back, as a friend, but the bigger part told me he was bad, and I should avoid him at all costs.
Burying my face in my velvet pillow, I groaned.
Why was my life so complicated all of the sudden?
I needed to be happy, like NOW.
I dialed Chris's number, knowing he would pick up instantly.
“Hey, love!” His sweet but rough voice blasted in my ears.
“Hey!” I grinned, even if he couldn't see my through the phone.
“We should do something today.” He said, as if he was reading my mind.
I laughed, and replied back, “Let's go on a date!”
He chuckled, “Sure thing. Give me exactly 2 hours to plan, kay? Bye!”
He hung up before I could ask what we were doing.
Skipping towards my closet, I stared at the clothes in front of me.
Groaning again, I stomped my foot childishly.
“What am I suppose to wear?” I said out loud.
“Need help?”
Oh, god.
Claire was here.
“Why are you here?” I snapped rudely, not wanting to see her distrustful face.
“Sheesh, just wanted to help. But I see someone woke up on the wrong side of bed today.”
She replied back emotionless.
Did this girl ever feel any emotions?
“At least I am not the one who kisses her sister's boyfriend.” I snapped back, not meaning to let it slip but it did.
I thought I saw hurt flash across her face, but in a second it was gone, replaced with a cold scowl.
“Watch your mouth, Kellie.” she warned.
I shrugged and turned back to my closet.
The door slammed, and my shoulders relaxed.
God, she was an emotionless beotch.
Remembering my little fashion crises, I signed.
But suddenly, a light bulb literally popped up in my head with a bright idea.
I could call my friends back home!
Elisa would know what to do.
Skipping happily to my room, I hit my girl Elisa up.
“Hello?” her familiar voice rang through the speaker.
“ELISA!” I screamed excitedly.
She must have recognized my voice because she shrieked back.
