Chapter 38

Family

Emma arrived in a police car with her family in haul. David, Snow and Hook all spilled out of the car and ran towards Regina and Robin, who were now standing outside the farmhouse with Evelina in Regina's arms. Once Snow got her arms around Evelina, she refused to let go, in fear the young girl would disappear again. Her tight grip on the princess was causing Evelina to see blotches of black. The poor young girl gasped for air.

"Snow... Please..."

Emma turned to her mother and nearly fainted herself when she saw Evelina's eyes rolling to the back of her head. She quickly ran over to her mother.

"Mom, let her go!" Emma exclaimed and yanked Evelina out of Snow's grasp. Snow then realized what she was doing and looked guilty when  Evelina began to shift form side to side. As soon as she was out of Snow's arms, David immediatly got his grip on her.

"You are so grounded, you are never leaving my side, and I swear you are on lock down until the day you turn fifty ... But I'm glad you're okay, sweetheart." David said and Snow joined the hug again. Evelina stuck her head out and looked at Emma.

"Please... Help." She stuttered out and Emma rolled her eyes.

"Mom, dad, please let go of Evelina; you're going to suffocate her." Emma said and pulled Evelina away again.

But then Hook pushed the blonde away and took his turn hugging Evelina.

"I've missed you, love."

Emma watched with a warm smile as Hook and Evelina hugged. The blonde couldn't resist and she joined the hug. Snow and David soon joined as well.

The snow princess let out a frail breath.

"So this is how I die." Evelina wheezed and tried to push away her family. But their grip only tightened. She looked to Regina for help but all the queen did was join the hug as well.

"..."

"..."

"..."

"Wait, when the hell did Snow get pregnant?!"

David would not let Evelina leave his side. He sat on one side and Regina on the other as they refused to let the young girl go more than five feet away. Evelina was thankful to be back but she didn't enjoy the various questions they were all asking.

All Evelina wanted to really do was eat her chili cheese fries in peace.

"Did the witch hurt you?" Emma asked for the tenth time. Evelina shook her head as she stuck a French fry in her mouth.

"No, I supposed not." She replied. Regina glanced at Emma before looking to Evelina.

"Evie, I understand you're going through a lot right now, being back in town and all, but do you by any chance know who the witch is?"

Evelina out her fork down and lifted her head to look at Regina. Her eyebrows were scrunched slightly as she realized they didn't know who was responsible for their torment.

"You dont know who is it?"

"We have been trying to figure it out for ages. She leaves no trace."

Evelina looked down to her food before shifting her body.

"Her name is Zelena. She made a deal with Pan a while back, but it backfired, hence why I'm here." Evelina mumbled and with those words said, he immediately jumped out of his seat.

"Zelena is with Snow!"

Snow was sitting on her sofa, sipping orange juice as she loving rubbed her swollen belly. She was excited to be a mom again. She never had the chance to do it the right way with Emma, and she hoped she could finally be the mom she always wished to be.
