Your P.O.V.
I walked into the local library, excited to finally be in a quiet setting. I had always enjoyed this part of hunting, even if it seemed lame, so I didn't mind having to do research for this hunt. My usual surroundings were less than peaceful and the nerdy side of me had missed being around books. I hopped up the concrete steps and paused slightly before the automatic doors slid open. I started thinking about the hunt and what I was supposed to be researching.
There had been a section posted on a newspapers website about a victim with hardly any blood left in her system. Of course they were calling it an animal attack, but anyone like me knew differently. My initial thought was that it was a vampire, but there were no teeth marks on the body, according to the report I found on the website. So here I was researching the history of this small town. I refocused and walked through the second set of sliding doors and into the main part of the library. I headed to the front desk.
An elderly woman with oversized glasses and a shirt a frankly alarming shade of pink looked up and asked me, "How can I help you, sweetheart?"
"Hi," I said with a smile, " I'm looking for anything you have on local history."
" Sure, you a reporter too?"
I cocked my head to the side. "Too?"
She nodded, "We had a reporter come in looking for local history."
She gestured to one of the tables open for people to read at. I glanced over and had to use extreme self-control not to react. It was Sam. Freaking. Winchester.
I turned back to her and gave her a somewhat forced smile.
"Uh, no. I'm actually trying to prove a friend wrong, who thinks he knows more than me."
She chuckled, "Okay, sweetheart. You'll have to ask the reporter if you can read the material after him."
"Sure thing, thanks!"
She nodded and I turned around, quickly trying to figure out what I was going to do. Every hunter knew Sam and Dean Winchester, but I happened to know more than most. Before I knew about the hunting life, I was a social worker for children who had undergone traumatic circumstances. Eventually I stumbled across children who claimed their sister had black eyes or their parents had been killed by something that definitely wasn't an animal. While looking into these special cases, I found out about the supernatural. Then I looked out for cases with these qualities in them and quickly rose in my line of work because I believed the children. Eventually I became a consultant part time for these cases. I was the one they called when children started claiming the unnatural actually happened. So that's how I got most of my jobs, through my clients calling me to help kids. I would go to the site and then kill whatever had made the kids so terrified. That's how I found out about the Winchester boys. A lot of the times the kids would tell me about a tall, long haired man and his shorter partner with dirty blond hair. Most of the time I just got general descriptions and didn't connect the dots but one time the kid had taken a picture with the men who saved him from a werewolf. I took a pic on my phone for later reference and eventually found at many of my cases they had been there first. So thats how I recognized Sam Winchester, one of the best hunters in the world. Whatever his reputation, I needed to help the poor little brother of the victim, so I steeled myself and walked over to the table.

This hunt was confusing. The evidence contradicted my gut instinct, which was a vampire attack. I noticed a y/h/c girl talking with the librarian at the front desk. The librarian gestured to me and they both looked at me. I quickly looked down. When I peeked up again, she was walking towards me. She was wearing black ripped jeans, a dark blue top and a smile. I shifted in my seat and waited for her to talk to me.
She pulled up a seat a few feet away from me and said, "So, you're a reporter?"
I paused, "Yeah... the librarian tell you?"
She nodded, " Yeah, what newspaper are you with?"
The usual newspapers I usually said were nowhere to be found and I blanked.
I stuttered, trying desperately to sound believable, "Uh, I'm, uh, with... World Weekly News."
She raised an eyebrow, "World Weekly News, huh? Nice." She paused looking down at the articles spread out across the table, then continued.
"So, looking at local history?"
I followed her gaze. " Yeah, I'm doing a piece on it."
"Hmm, I'm looking for stuff related to the recent death."
I quickly glanced up at her, instantly suspicious. What could she want with that. "Why do you want to know about that?"
She chuckled, "Same reason as you. I'm a hunter."
I leaned back in surprise. " You're a hunter?"
"Yep, I came here looking for info on local history because the evidence on the body was weird." She stopped, noticing my expression. " You are Sam Winchester, aren't you?"
"I.. uh.. how did you know?"

What. Was. I. Doing. I should have just pretended I believed him and waited my turn. Or better yet let him and his brother deal with it. But no, I just had to be clever. I guess I should just tell him, then let him have the case and go find another one.
"Before i was a hunter, I was a social worker and some of my cases involved kids who had experienced the supernatural. I eventually started believing them when I almost got killed by a werewolf. And believe it or not, a lot of them know you or at least FBI you. One of them had a picture, so that's how I recognized you." I sighed, then continued. " Look, I'm sorry to bother you. I know you're a great hunter, so I'll just leave you to it. Good luck."
I got up and pushed in my chair and started to walk away when I heard him call out
"Wait, would you want to work the case with me?"
I turned around completely taken by surprise.
He continued, " I've been looking at this case forever and I haven't found out anything. It would be good to have a fresh mind help us out. "
I paused, debating whether or not I should interfere, which he took as my unwillingness to work with them.
"Unless you don't want to of course."
I laughed, "I would love to!"
He smiled and shook my hand,
"Ok, let's do this."
