Michael
I walked into the gym and found my trainer already working out on the weights.
"Morning, Mr.J" I said walking over to him.
"Don't 'morning' me boy. You're late." He said resting the weight down. I looked at my watch. 4:11.
"By like 10 minutes." I said. When I come to the gym, I come at 4 am to avoid paparazzi and the crowds.
He checked his own watch."11 minutes." He said.
I chuckled and shook my head.
"And you are putting in double work today. Plus it's a leg day." He said. I groaned.
"Seriously? Didn't we just have a leg day?"
"Legs are important you know. They support your whole body. If you don't have regular leg days you'll be unbalance." He said.
"Daddy, I wish I had a dollar for ever time I heard you give that speech." Said a girl walking in from the back. She was a smooth dark complexion and she had a thick accent.
"And I wish I had a dollar for every time I heard you say you wish you had a dollar." Mr.J said, she laughed.
"Michael, this is my daughter, Alexis." He said turning his attention back to me. I've heard him talk about his daughter a few times but I never met her in person.
"I know you. You're in that movie. What's it called?" She said snapping her fingers.
"Creed! That's it. My sisters love that movie." She said smiling.
"Glad to know I have some fans." I said. She laughed
"It was nice to meet you." She said smiling and walking away. I watched her as she walked away with the confidence radiating off of her.
I felt a slap in the back of my head.
"Don't think about it." Mr.J said. I rubbed my head.
"I wasn't even-"
"I don't care. She is off limits. not even an option. Understand?" he said.
I chuckled to myself. not because i wasn't going to listen to him, but because it was cute how protective he was of her.
"Yh." I said nodding.
"Good. Now lets get to work." He said.
When our workout was done, I searched my gym bag for my water bottle without luck. I went to the front desk to ask for a next one.
I found Alexis at the front desk on the computer typing away. I considered turning away and just waiting till I got home, but I guess I was staring because she said
"Michael can I help you with something?" Her accent thick, making her almost impossible to understand her.
"Umm... a water bottle." I said walking up to the counter.
"Can I get a new water bottle, I forgot mine." She smiled and handed me one.
"Where are you from of you don't mind me asking." I said looking down at the water bottle.
"The Bahamas." She said.
"Yh, I picked up on the little accent." I said with a little chuckle.
"It's not a little acdent, it's a big accent. You are one of the few people I talked to who doesn't say 'huh, can you repeat that?'." She said.
"Guess I just have a thing for the little foreign accent." I said leaning on the counter smiling.
"I bet you do." She said giggling. I heard some one clear there throat behind me.
"Michael." Mr.J said.
"Chill Daddy. We were just talking." Alexis said.
"It always starts with just talking." He said. Alexis rolled her eyes.
"It's cool I'm leaving anyway before the 6 am rush comes in. It was nice to meet you Alexis." I said.
"It was nice to meet you too Micheal." She said bitting her lip. I smiled and walked out of the gym.
