25 year old Alexis Johnston, moved to L.A. from her small island for one reason and one reason only, to focus on her job. Never would she expect to meet someone like Michael.
30 year old Michael B. Jordan, is at the prime of his career and a rela...
Micheal I took a big sip of my coffee as I pulled up to set. I checked my phone seeing Alexis still had me on delivered. I thought about texting her again but I decided to just give her her space.
I hated that she was icing me out but its my own fault. I can't expect things like that from her when I behave like Hollywood's most eligible bachelor.
I got out my car and headed to the meeting room. It was the first day of shooting so it was mostly just getting to know the cast and crew.
Tess greeted me at the door.
"Hey Tess."
"Micheal promise me you will keep things professional." She said frantically.
"Be professional about what?"
"Just promise me." She said. I looked at her confused as to what she was talking about but as soon as we got inside I understood why she had told me that.
Alexis was standing at the food table eating away at a donut. She looked absolutely gorgeous with her hair slicked back and her all grey attire.

"Promise me." Tess said again. I completely ignored her walking over to Alexis.
"Good morning." I said walking up behind her. She quickly turned around.
"Good morning." She said with a tight lip smile.
"Wassup Lex, you ignoring me?"
"I'm not ignoring you, I'm just busy."
"Seriously Alexis?" She looked down at her shoes. I tilted her head back up to look at me but she was looking everywhere but my eyes. I sighed feeling defeated. She didn't even wanna look me in my eyes.
She took a step back from me.
"Look, I'm not upset at you ok? I promise you I'm not. But Micheal this job is one of my biggest projects and the best opportunity I have had in a while to put my name on something serious, something real. So please if you care about me at all, don't mess this up for me." She finally looked directly at me.
I starred at her trying to read her but it was no use. She wasn't giving in.
"I hear you Lex." I said sticking my hands in my pocket.
"Thank you." She said patting my chest and walking away.
Alexis I let out a deep sigh walking away from Micheal. I couldn't deny my feelings for this man, but my career was way more important and I didn't want to jeopardize that.
Tessa caught up with me.
"You can cut the tension with a knife between you two." She said.
"Tessa I can't lose this job because of Micheal. I just need to be able to work with a clear head. So if that means blocking him out then so be it."
"Maybe if you let him in, you would work better. Wasn't he the inspiration for that piece of work that help you get this job?" I twisted my lip because I knew she was right.
"I don't know I'll think about it." I said entering the meeting room.
After the long meeting and being introduced to my work station I was excited to start working.
" looks like I gat a new hang out spot." Tessa said opening the trailer door. I chuckled looking around the room. It wasn't a big space, but it was my space and I loved it.

"We both know your trailer is much bigger." I chuckled.
"You're right. Plus you and Micheal will be occupying this one." She winked. I rolled my eyes.
"Nope. This trailer is strictly business." I said walking around mentally placing things everywhere.
"We'll see about that. Speaking of the devil here he comes now." She said looking out the window. "Let me leave you two to talk." she said wiggling her eyebrows.
I rolled my eyes as she exited my trailer letting Micheal in, saying something to him on her way out that I couldn't hear.
"Hey." He said with a bright smile holding flowers. "These are for you. A house warming gift." He said handing them to me.
I couldn't help but smile as I took them from him. "Thank you."
"Look I'm sorry for how I approached you earlier. I really am happy for you and you deserve this job so I won't put you in any compromising positions." He said. I chuckled.
"I'm glad we are on the same page." I said resting the flowers aside.
"Yeah. So if distance is what you need just say the word." He said.
I sighed. I wasn't sure if it was distance I really wanted from Micheal. I looked at him.
"Honestly Micheal, I don't know what I want right now. I just need to think on a bit." I said.
He nodded. "I understand that. But listen, whenever you're ready, I'm gonna here. No more games, no more bullshit. Just me and you."
I nodded lost for words. He smiled at me.
"I'll catch you later." He said leaving. Once I heard the door close I let out a breath that I felt that I was holding in since he entered the room. I ran my hands over my face trying to refocus myself.
