"And nothing happened?" Cam said over the phone.

"Nope." I said packing the rest of my things off my desk.

"You aint even get a lil bit of head? Just let him lick on it lil bit?" she said.

"Camrone!" I said laughing.

"I'm just asking. Its just not like you. I mean the Lexi I know would have gotten her freak on from she met this man in the gym." I laughed shaking my head.

"I guess things change." I said shrugging walking out of my office. I nodded to one of the designers as I walked into the hall.

"I'm proud of you girl. Its nice to see you off that hoe shit. Thought you would have never recovered from Eric." She said. I rolled my eyes at the mention of that name.

"Yh well life goes on." I said stepping on to the elevator.

"You are absolutely right. Anyway, where are you?" she said.

"I'm leaving work. I'm going out with Tessa tonight." I said stepping off the elevator.

"Are you?" she said. I looked up and saw her standing in front of me.

"CAM!" I said running to hug her.

"Hey Lex." She said squeezing me.

"What are you doing here?" I said still excited.

"I had some time off and I needed to get out of Miami. So came to see you." She said.

"Awwweeee. Bitch I love you." I said walking outside to the uber I had waiting. I helped her with the 2 suitcases she was carrying, and we made our way to my apartment.

"Oh shoots. I guess I gatta cancel plans with Tess." I said.

"No. you know I can turn up with anyone." She said. I laughed.

"Aight. Let me just let her know you coming." I opened my phone and saw a message from Micheal.

Mike❣: you need a ride home?

Me: I took an uber, thanks 😊

Mike❣: 😑seriously Lex?

Me: yess, its fine

Mike❣: mmmmk😑. You going out with Tessa tonight?

Me: you know it

Mike❣: well I call next Saturday

Me:😂

Mike❣: Im serious. Let me take you somewhere nice and treat you.

My heart fluttered.

"Bitch." I tapped Cam and showed her the text.

"Yes bitch. Say yes." She said taking the phone and typing the message herself

Me: yes I would love that

Mike❣: Great.🙂

"You make me sound so thirsty." I said talking my phone back and messaging Tess and telling her about the change of plans.

"You aint?" she asked. I flipped her the bird not looking up from my phone.

When we got to my apartment we put Cam's things in my guest room and helped her get settled, then I went up stairs to start getting ready. Half way through me doing my make up Cam was banging on my room door.

"ALEXIS!" she screamed. I quickly opened the room door.

"What?"

"which dress do you think I would look better in?" she said holding 2 dresses.

"Thats why you screaming my name girl?"

"Pick."

"The blue." I said closing my door.

"Rude." She said through the door.

I quickly got ready seeing that Tess told me she was on her way.

"Cam, you ready?" I asked putting in my earrings.

"Im always ready." She emerged from the room looking flawless as ever.

Tess was already waiting outside. I introduced Tess and Lupita to Cam and they instantly hit it off.

"Where we headed to tonight, Tess?" I asked fixing my lipstick in my mirror.

"Strip club." She said.

"Yesssssss." Cam said dancing in her seat. I shook my head at the two.

When we got inside it smelled like sweat and rum. Definitely not my type of scene. But I wasn't trying to be a buzz kill.

"Drinks ladies." Tess said as the bottles were put on the table in front of us.

"Aight I changed my money. Imma about to go watch some ass shaking." Cam said.

"I'm right behind you." Tess said following her, leaving me and Lupita at the table.

"Soooooo..." Lupita said nudging me.

"So?"

"How are things between you and Micheal?"

I took a big gulp of my drink. "Good. I mean we're just friends so."

"Mmmmmmm" she said sipping her drink and smirking at me.

"What?"

"Oh nothing. All I'm saying is, you the first girl Micheal has brought round in a minute. Because trust me, Micheal has alot of 'friends', but I've never seen him like this with any of them. But what do I know, I could be tripping." She said sipping her drink again.

I felt butterflies in my stomach and fought the smile that was forming.

"I'll be right back." I said getting up to go to the bathroom.

I instantly stopped noticing someone who looked a lot like Micheal with a stripper on his lap.

I felt my heart drop when he turned around.

"Alexis" Micheal said standing up quickly but before he could reach me I quickly left the building. I called me an uber and quickly walked down the street.

I didn't even look back even though I heard Micheal calling my name.

I felt my eyes filled up with tears but quickly wiped them away and got into the uber and shot Cam and Tess a text telling them I went home.
