I knocked on Alexis front door waiting for a response.
"One minute."She said. I rubbed my hands together trying to fend off the cold a bit.
She finally opened the door and looked at me smiling.

I just looked at her.
"Is something wrong? Should I change?" She asked looking worried
"No. No you look perfect." I said smiling. She smiled back.
"Come on." I said grabbing her hand and intertwining our fingers. I helped her into the car and started down the highway.
"You really do look nice." I said as we pulled up to a stop light.
"Thanks. You clean up nice too." She said touching my chin and I laughed.
"Let me warn you, my friends can get a bit wild when they have liquor." I said.
"What about you?" She asked.
"What about me?"
"You said your friends. You don't get a bit wild wild when you have something to drink?"
"Nah. I can control myself. I can hold my liqour." I said. She laughed.
My phone rang. I looked at the caller ID and saw Steelo's name pop up.
"What?" I said answering the phone.
"Where you at?" He said.
"I'm on my way."
"How far is on my way, bro?"
"I'm almost there chill."
"You don't even live that far."
"I told you I invited someone else." I said looking at Alexis who was listening in on the coversation.
"Oh I see. You had to make sure you was getting some tonight." He said chuckling. I looked up at the car ceiling praying Alexis didn't hear him.
"Nothing like that man. Look, I'm right around the corner. 5 minutes away." I said.
"Hurry your ass up." He said hanging up.
"Your friends sound fun." Alexis said. I just laughed and shook my head.
I pulled up to the bus rental place and everyone was already there. I parked and helped Alexis out of the car and walked towards the group.
"Hey, Um everyone this is Alexis, she is a friend of mine." I said putting my hand on her lower back. She smiled.
"This is my friend Steelo. This is the guy I was just talking to on the phone." I said introducing her to him.
"It's nice to put a face to the name." He said winking and smirking. She smiled.
"This is Lupita and Chadwick." I said moving on.
