The rest of the day seemed to fly by. This is mostly due to all my pain medication that I was taking throughout the day to subside my pain. After about five drugged out naps, Addy came into my room with Hunter.

"Ellie, Brett and I are leaving now, okay," she says. I hum my reply back and Addison turns to  Hunter.

"Now, remember to call me if she throws up anymore, or can't remember where she's at alright," she says to him.

"Yes, I know. I promise she'll be in good hands tonight," he says reassuringly.

Addison kisses the top of my head before turning away and walking out the door.

"Alright, let's get you out of bed," Hunter says enthusiastically.

I groan. "Please don't. I just want to stay here."

"No can do, I promised Addison that I'd get you out."

I huff and willingly let Hunter scoop me into his arms and take me to the living room. I'm pretty sure Addy hadn't asked Hunter to get me out of my room, but I wasn't going to fight him over that. I had a much more important battle to fight, trying not to fall in love with Hunter.

One month later

I sat on the hard table, surrounded by neutral colors. I look up from scrolling through Facebook on my phone and made eye contact with Hunter. He's looking down at his own phone, probably bored out of his mind. Addison had recently started a new job and wasn't able to take time off to take me to my appointments, so she enlisted Hunter to do it. I felt bad because I was pretty cable of taking myself to my own appointments, Addy just wouldn't budge on the subject. The sound of the door opening brought me out of my thoughts and Doctor White stood before me.

"I have some pretty good news. It looks like both your femur and your wrist have healed, " he gleams. "However, I do want to keep your wrist in a brace for a couple more weeks, just as a precaution."

I nod my head slowly, intaking the information. After five weeks of have both itching casts, I was more irritable than ever and really just wanted them both off. Dr. White motions for Hunter to leave the room before grabbing a pair of plastic glasses and handing them to me and I take them from him. He turns around and turns on the cast saw, pressing various buttons. And whizzes away at cutting off both casts.

"It wasn't as bad as you thought it would be right," Hunter chuckles.

I roll my eyes and shove him a little. "Yeah, yeah."
