I pulled the trigger.

The bullet flew out of the gun fast as a train. It hit him harmlessly and bounced off his body. I was shocked. Why didn't it hurt him? Was he using black magic or something?

The clown turned around very slowly, covering Private Terra's face.

"Who... Are you?" He asked.

"I am Gunnery Seargant Hartman, and I order you to stop hurting him."

"I don't take orders." He whispered.

As fast as a bolt of lightning, he rushed towards me and I flew through the air to the other side of the basement. Luckily, I fell into a bin and was able to get back up. This was about to get real.

I shot at the clown again, this time at his head. The bullet hit his eye, and he wailed in pain.

But once he got up, he... Shapeshifted? He turned into Private Pyle, which surprisingly didn't scare me, because I knew he was dead. I also knew what I was doing, so I shot him, and the clown fell back into his original form, and staggered.

"You... Do not... Realize... Whom... You... Are dealing with..."

He suddenly pulled out a sword from who knows where, and held it up.

But I had backup. I pulled out my machine gun, and shot him in the head again, causing him to fall forward and suddenly disappear!

I had no idea what had just happened, but right now I had to focus on Private Terra.

I picked him up, or maybe dragged him over to his room and put him on his bed. I had to wait until he woke up.

A while later, he sat up suddenly and I stood in front of him.

"Private Terra, you're finally awake. After 2 hours."

"What?" He asked with a confused look on his face.

"Do you know how long it took me to shoot off that clown?"

I knew he couldn't answer, until he actually answered.

"Approximately 120 minutes, which is exactly what an hour is. Er, 2 hours."

I just had to smile at that.

"Private Terra, you are smart. And you're gonna owe me a lot of money."

"How much money?"

"One dollar!"

Of course it wasn't a lot, but I was making money already. I was fine. He actually gave me one dollar though. And that was good for now.

After I left, I suddenly remembered that it was Friday. I didn't have to work the next day because I was off duty on weekends!

Saturday was also the day of the Chili Bowl, my favorite football competition! It wasn't NFL, it was just our group of friends and others from places around the city, held in Scio, a little town a little more than an hour away.

But I always had fun at the Chili Bowl, so I knew that I would have fun tommorow. And there was just one more thing that would make it right.

I was going to bring Private Terra.
