There was lots to report today.

I was really confused about Private Terra. He had kept giving weird answers, and had seemed fine about the whole thing. It was strange.

But I continued to ride in the truck back to the Phoenix foundation. What was I going to say to the chief? Well, I was going to report what I saw, like he asked. Now, it wasn't a lot, but it was a start.

When I returned, I saw Jack waiting for me, grinning.

"So, what'd you find, Harty? Something I can punch?"

"First of all, don't call me Harty. Also, not yet. But I might be onto something."

I entered the meeting room where everyone was waiting for me.

"Alright, Hartman. What did you find?"

So I told my story. I talked about the chair, and how Private Terra kept giving weird answers. After I told everyone the things I saw and heard, Hopper placed his hat on the table.

"I think that we should leave this house alone, until something really suspicious happens."

We all nodded.

"Hartman, you can go back to your office until further notice."

So I went back, got my stuff, and went back home.

I entered my house to see the picture of me as a drill instructor in the war. Yes, those were hard days, but they were part of the good days. This job, right now, was just ok. I wasn't able to yell at anyone around, and I definitely wasn't able to be in charge.

But I lived through it. I always lived through it. As I flipped through my photo album, I saw good memories, and bad ones.

The Privates' graduation was great for everyone, but first meeting them wasn't so happy.

Anyways, I went back out and got some Fried Chicken, because why not, and just enjoyed the night like usual.

When I went to bed, I thought about what happened today. I had just been told to investigate something, then when I reported it, they just dropped the case. It was stupid! But tommorow was a new day, and I was going to start fresh. That was it.

I smiled, and went to sleep.
