Chang'e °Pietro Maximoff

Chapter 18

Rava ran towards Wanda.
The sokovian girl weakly lifted her head before hugging and crying in the arms of Rava. The two girls cried in eachothers arms.

"C'mon Wanda, we have to go back to the boats."
She helped the broken girl up.
"No, i have to do something first. I have to kill him. Go Rava, now."

The young Avenger looked at her unsurely but obeyed anyway.
She started running to the place where the boats were suppossed to be.
She came to an abrupt stop and her hart broke into a million peaces seeing the sight infront of her.
There he was.

Clint sat next to Pietro's dead body on the ground.
When Rava looked into Pietro's eyes she saw nothing but emptyness. Scanning his body she saw multiple bulletwounds.
She ran towards his body and cradled his limp body in her arms.

"No no, please not again." she cried out.
The arches sitting next to her layed his hand on her should trying to comfort her.
"I'm so sorry kiddo."
He looked at the girl that was breaking down over the death of her dear friend.
"C'mon let's get him on the boat, yeah."
He smiled sympetatically at her.

There she was sitting on the boat with the body of the dead speedster in her arms. Rava felt empty inside.
The poor girl's face showed no emotion at all. Sometimes her lip trembled a bit and her eyes filled with water but she tried to keep it inside of her.

"Where's Wanda?"
Steve asked to nobody in particular.
Rava's broken voice could be heard through the crowd.
"Killing Ultron."
Steve looked at her with a sorrowful
look but she didn't see. Rava just kept holding onto Pietro while staring into the distance.

Closing her eyes various images of her and the silver-haired boy flashed through her mind. There was one that grabbed her attention.
It was back at the airtemple when the two of them stood smiling at eachother next to the spirit oasis.
She remembered explaining what the oasis was and what it could do.

The spirit oasis.

Rava's eyes shot open knowing exactly what to do.
She gently layed Pietro down next to her and began walking towards her father and the archer.
When she stood next to the two men she spoke up.
"I have a plan."
Steve and Clint stopped their conversation to look at the girl next to them with a look of confusion.
She layed her head in her hand and sighed.
"Just get Wanda back here and everyone from the team to the jets, now!"
The two Avengers obeyed in an instant.
Thor decided to help the girl lift up Pietro's lifeless body and carry him towards the jet.
When they successfully layed him inside the thunder god decided to enfulge Rava into a bear hug.
"Are you alright, lady Rava?"
She simply shook her head not feeling the enery to talk right now.

Time had passed and everyone was sitting inside the jet. Even Wanda who got back to the rest of them woth the help of Vision. Sokovia was saved but the mission was not over.
Not everyone was saved, not Pietro.
Rava sat next to Wanda before the Maximoff twin spoke up very softly.
"I killed him."
Rava turned her head looking at the girl with narrowed eyes.
"Who did you kill, Wanda?"

"Ultron." was her only response.
She simply nodded wanting to enjoy the peace of silence. The rest of the flight was spend with the two girls holding hands and looking at a dead body that belongs to the boy they both love.

"Rava, why are we back at the airtemple?"
The girl ignored Natasha's question and just kept walking.
After a minute op silence she finally spoke up.
"Where's Bruce?"
Nat sighed thinking about the awkward genius.
"He left."
The girl simply sighed and kept walking forward. The rest of the Avengers following, Steve and Thor being last carrying Pietro's dead body.

At last they arrived at the oasis.
"Put him in the water, please."
Wanda stepped forward not knowing what was going to happen with her twin brother while Vision asked what was going to happen in a few moments.
"There is this legend that my masters used to tell me. When it's full moon which is at this moment, luckily for us, you can resurrect someone from the death. I'm going to test this and hope we'll get our speedster back."

Rava stepped into the water aswell.
Holding her hands together, she closed her eyes and tried concentrating really hard getting into contact with the spirit world. "C'mon."
Sadly, nothing happened.
Rava tried again a couple of times but to no avail.
Tony spoke to her in a gentle tone.
"I'm sorry, kid. Let's go home, it's over."
It was silent for a while. In that moment clouds began ro dissappear and the moon began shining brightly over the oasis.
Rava began to speak but it wasn't just her voice that could be heard insted it were hundreds of different voices coming trough her mouth.

"No it is not over."

Her eyes opened shining the same bright light as the moon.
She dissappeared unders water and not a trace of her could be seen.
After a short period of time Pietro's body began to vanish underwater aswell.
The only thing that could be seen underwater now were the black and white fish swimming around eachother getting closer and closer to eachother.

It was dead silent and all the Avengers looked inside the water not having a clue of what was going on.
Everyone jumped back in surpise when a hand reached out of the water.
Steve was the first to get up and pull the hand that belonged to either Pietro or Rava up.
When he pulled the person back on land he saw the speedster. He layed on the grass, breathing heavily while coughing up the remaining water in his lungs.
Clint scanned the boy's body and to his surprise there was no sign of injurys caused by any bullets.
Pietro lifted his head and the first thing he asked when he came back from the dead was
"Where's Rava?"

Wanda looked at him with a sorry expression before looking back at the water. "She should have come back up now."
Everyone was sad despite having a member of the team back.

An hour had passed and Steve was the only one still at the oasis. He was crying softly to himself not wanting to believe his daughter was gone.
He heard a sound and when he looked uo he saw an unconscious Rava floating in the water.
He immediatly got to his feet and pulled her oit of the water.

The girl looked different than when she stepped in the water about aan hour ago. Her hair turned as whote as the moonlight.
She was softly breathing so to Steve's relieve this meant she was alive.

After a while Rava opened her eyes and coughed up water. She breathed heavily her eyes darting from one side of the oasis to the other.
She spoke one word before going unconcious again.

"Pietro."
