Chapter 10: Livvy is my hero not
We walked around the boutiques and found Livvy and myself bracelets and heels. Mine were black velvet heels with silver studs roaming up the back of the thick heel. Livvy's were pink simple strap heels. We got Lillian a silver cuff and matching earrings. I already have teardrop sapphires earrings with diamond edging them. My dad got them for my 12th birthday. As for Layla, she got a charm bracelet, like a pandora but more expensive.
We walk down to the old hospital and wait for Livvy's older sister Margaret. When she arrives she 'didn't realise' I was there, because she had just driven down here on her scooter.
"Oh I'm so sorry Thalia, looks like you going to have to walk," she snarls at me.
It is no secret that Margaret hates me. The reason? Her long time crush, Kaden Forbes. She is totally and utterly in love with him, she has been working on him for over 4 years.
My first day grade seven was their first day of grade ten. He came straight up to me and asked me out. We went to the movies, he chose an action movie, selfish bastard. Way to swoop a girl off her feet. To be truthful, he wasn't a bad guy, I just didn't take any interest in him. We never dated after that, he was really into art and wanted to paint me, titanic style.
"It's fine Margaret, I already have a ride. Bye Livvy, hope you GET home, safely," I add safely on after a full on glare aimed straight at her sister.
Margaret flipped down her visor and sped off.
I wonder if I call Sam, will he pick me up? No, Thalia you do not need that boy, he does have his own life.
I decide to walk home, when I get a buzz from my phone. It is a private number
Unknown: why are you on the other side of town?
Me: who are you?
Unknown: I am picking you up, wait there!
Me: who are-
Halfway through texting the stranger a familiar sleek, black Ferrari pulls up along the road. The window automatically goes down, he smiles and opens the door.
"Well isn't it lovely to be greeted with your fine presence," I plaster a fake smile (note the sarcasm, very obviously)
"Oh, I was feeling happy today and I was going to drive you home," he starts to drive off.
"Wait, wait. Can I please have a ride," I ask with no expression
"Hop in,"

"So, about the dance," he starts before I cut him off
"I have a date," I snap
"Oh, is it me?"
"No," I snap again
"Geez Louise, calm down,"
"My step dad is going to kill me."
"Why?"
"I'm already grounded," I smile proudly
"You have changed, you know," he smiles
"Oh?"
"You were always tough and all but, something opened you eyes made you, different,"
"Someone," I correct
"Excuse me?" he asks confused
"I said someone, not something,"
He pulls up outside my house and turns to me. His eyes screaming apology. My step dad, was standing on doorstep screaming and yelling. If only he would give the guy ten seconds to say whatever is on his chest. Oh I almost forgot, this is my step dad we are talking about. I get out of the car and thank Tyson for being so kind as to drop me off.
I walk straight up to Andrew, and shove him so I can get passed. He slams the door shut and continues to shreak and yell at me. I start walking to my bedroom, I stop and turn around. He is always yelling at me and my sister and I have had-
"Enough!" I yell clearing the air with complete silence. "You are always raising your voice at us, you never let us speak. All you ever do is yell. You have torn my sister and I apart by always saying that I am the perfect daughter. News flash I will never be your daughter and the adoption papers you lost, I burnt them! You might hate my sister because she bleached her hair without your permission, well she asked mum. She didn't need to ask you! and quite frankly I like her hair like that and the bonus of no one mixing us up. I hate you, and I wish dad was here!" I yell right back in his face wishing I could have hurt him more.
"Go to your room yo are grounded for the rest of your life. And you know what, your going to boarding school," he yells in reply
"No!"
"No?"
"No!"
