Chapter 19: Dinners, Dates and loveable idiots

Mrs Wilson rushes up to the front door and embraces Sam lovingly, "oh Sammie, I haven't seen you since your freshman year! How are you?"

He hugs back and smiles at mrs Wilson, "well when I was first told I would be coming back here for the rest of my schooling, I was a bit annoyed. I had some great stuff in my life that I wasn't ready to leave yet, but I think fate brought us together," Sam told her as he was looking at me the whole time making my heart do somersaults in my rib cage.

"Well, Thalia who was the nice young fellow you wanted to introduce to me?" I suppress a laugh and grab Sam, with my hands on either side of his shoulders, "this Andrea, is my boyfriend Samuel." I say

Sam plays along with me and picks up her hand and kisses it lightly, "why I don't believe we have met, you must be Thalia's older sister?"

This make Andrea laugh and hug us both motherly, gasping for air, "Thalia! I am so happy for you both!" She lets us go finally giving our lungs some air, " come this way, dinner is ready!"

Cameron comes running down the stairs tripping over one of the girls books and face planting on the ground. He pokes his head right back up like a dog with his eyes wide, "Dinner?"

Felix, Sam and I start laughing at the sight in front of us until I go and help him up. He smiles a thank you brushing himself off and rushing to the dining room with speed.

Sam puts his arm around my shoulder and we walk into the dining room together with Felix lagging behind, sulking.

We sit down, with Felix on my left and Sam on my right, this is going to be one hell of a night.

"Could you please pass me the peas," Sam asks Felix

"Sure," Felix picks up the bowl of peas and instead of passing him the peas he 'accidentally' spills then all over Sam. "Whoops!"

Sam stands up and leaves the table, "excuse us," he say and drags my hand with him, until Felix stands and grabs my other arm disaprovingly.

Sam's eyes glisten with challenge and anger, "LET HER GO!" He growls through gritted teeth.

"No," Felix smirks and challenges.

"These carrots are amazing Mr W," Cameron comments we all look at him like he had grown another head.

"Why thank you Cameron at least someone appreciates my cooking," she glares at Felix and Sam, making me giggle and look between both boys still with grips on either of my hands.

"Let me go both of you!" I scream at both of them, shaking myself out of their grips and running outside into the garden and lying on the damp grass watching the peaceful sunset fall.

What happened, first i'm just some nobody that dates a complete jerk. Now I'm on the other side of the world trying to get my friend/brother/complicated thing and my boyfriend to get along when they obviously hate each other. Felix is being way more touchy with me around Sam and Sam is acting like a possesive idiot! I look up into the sky, thinking about my family. What would mum and Layla be doing now? Is Layla causing more trouble, getting her act together or maybe even liking the new arangements.

I hear the sound of the damp grass flatten as feet step on it towards me, I don't turn. "Look Sam, Felix. I don't want to hear it right now I just want to cool down before I kill both of you!" I warn

"Well I'm not either, besides I don't take orders form people shorter than me, apart from Miss Daisy. She scares the living daylights outta me," I am faced with a goofy Cameron shuddering about our math teacher.

"Tell me about it, I mean could you imagine if you got on her bad side, geez," I laugh.

"You know there is a story behind those two persistent pricks," he smiles my way knowingly

"Really, what is it?" I ask curiosity getting the better of me.

"Yeah your not the first girl to get between them. The first girl was Sam's sister Brooke. Do you know her?"

"Yeah I do actually, what happened,"

"Nearly every year Sam brings one of his adopted siblings with him to America because they never go on family holidays. Two years ago Sam brought Brooke with him for the school year, at the time Felix and Sam were really good friends you could even say the best. Felix took Brooke to Niagra Falls with Sam and their friends, like they do every year. Every year one couple from the group will kiss at midnight to confess their love for one another, it's a strange myth we have, but love. Anyways Felix deciced it was his year and against Brookes wishes he kissed her right then and there and nearly forced her into sex, if it weren't for me stopping it before he could get any further. When Brooke told Sam what Felix had done, Sam hated Felix, because he knew you couldn't cross the line with Sam, for he will get revenge in the worst way possible. This is why Felix doesn't like you and Sam dating, he thinks he is just using you as revenge. Sam had never forgiven Felix after that and that's why he doesn't like Felix living with you."

"Wow." I am shell shocked, they both have excusable reasons for acting so strange and hating each other, but still find it hard to believe Felix would do that to my friend Brooke.

"You can't tell either of then I told you though, or I could be killed, big time."

"Of course Cameron, thank you for telling me the truth, I'm gonna head back in," I get up and wipe my wet butt, "You coming?"

"Yeah," He gets up and follows me back inside before it starts to rain.
