LOUIS POV:

The flat feels so different and big when shared with other company. When Harry's around it truly feels like home. Otherwise it just feels like some stupid place i'm forced to stay at temporarily.

I sat down on the sofa. The tea on the coffee table had gotten cold by the time i got out of the shower. Water was still dripping from the ends of my hair. I kept pushing it back as i took a sip from the tea. I suddenly felt a shadow over me. I raised my gaze and met Eleanor's. She was just standing there staring at the ring on her finger. I clenched my jaws, trying to avoid the fact that this has all gone too far. It seemed like she was about to say something. But she seemed really hesitant about it so i just let it be. She hasn't been the same since the engagement. She's been really absent and quiet. I know she probably has some opinions about this as well as i, but she is the one with a choice here. Not me. She can leave whenever she'd like and just loose the money. But my entire life is depending on this so it is not as simple for me as for her.

"Louis..."

She said at last. But as soon as she begun muttering my name the door bell rang. She stopped herself and went to get the door for me. I walked into the kitchen to put away the ice cold useless tea. I suddenly heard a really familiar voice that made my heart skip a beat. But it couldn't be.

In disbelief in my own hearing i walked back into the living room. I could only see the back of Eleanor's head. I cleared my throat to aware her of my presence. She then turned to me and stepped away from the door. That's when i noticed Harry standing there. What was he doing here?

"Harry this is not the best time..." Eleanor tried. But he walked in anyway.

"I'm sorry Eleanor but i really need a word with Louis"

"There's nothing left to say Harry"

I said. His eyes were wet and red. His lips were moist and plump the way they are when he's about to cry. He shook his head and walked over to me.

"Yes there is. Come on, there's got to be a way to fix this...."

"Well there isn't. You're just making this harder for both of us so go home"

I said and turned away. I'm usually not the kind of person that avoids conflicts. But at this point nothing would help the situation except distance. So that was exactly what i was trying to do. Keep a distance so it won't be as hard. I walked into the bedroom to spare Eleanor the sight of us arguing. Harry followed me.

"Don't FUCKING WALK AWAY FROM ME LOU"

"Harry you're making this harder than it has to be."

I begun.

"Please, i'm begging you. Just leave"

I said and finally grew the courage to look him in the eyes. We stood less than one feet away from eachother's faces. I noticed the tears slowly running down his green eyes.

"I won't...."

He begun. I sighed.

"I won't cause i'm fucking SICK of walking out that door empty handed, okay? I want to for ONCE just leave this flat knowing that you're mine. Just like i'm yours."

He said and looked me straight dead in the eyes. I took a deep breath. I could not believe the words i was about to say but it had to be said. I had to take action. I had to say something that would make him give up. It is too late. There's nothing left to do in our power. So he has to realize that nothing we do now will matter.

"Well... I'm not yours anymore, Harry. And i never will be. Just face it!"

He stared me in the eyes and i could feel his pain as he nodded and stepped back. I stared down at the floor as i heard his footsteps leaving the room. Eleanor stood a couple of feet away from me with her arms crossed. I waited for the front door to slam shut before i finally could raise my gaze. Eleanor stared at me disappointed. Her lips were slightly parted as she shook her head.

"I can't believe you just did that"

She said in hushed tones. I frowned.

"So I'M the bad guy!?" I shouted. She just sighed and walked away from me. I followed her out to the living room to see where she was going. She grabbed her coat and walked to the door.

"Where are you going?" I asked.

She didn't answer, she just gave me that look of pure disappointment and walked out. What was her deal? I mean, i'm not doing anything wrong... Yet it feels like i am...

HARRY'S POV:

I hurried across the street. I just felt so useless. As i got even further away from the building i heard a familiar voice calling my name. I turned around with a frown on my face. There Eleanor was, trying to catch up to me. I know i was mad enough to just ignore her and walk away, but i was raised better than that. So i stopped and waited for her with my hands in my pockets.

"Harry i'm so sorry"

"Don't be... It's not your fault."

I said and stared down at the ground. She took a step closer to me and looked me in the eyes.

"Well, i probably shouldn't do this but... I've got a plan"
