The Girl With Rainbow Hair

Chapter 1: The Begining

Alice Morgan was a shy, socially awkward, teenaged girl with a powerful voice.

Not that she ever used it.

The day it all started was one she'll never forget.

Alice was taking homework to her best friend's house because they missed a day and asked her to bring it to them.

She knocked on the front door and waited.

And waited.

And waited.

And finally her best friend's mom opened the door.

"Alice! Such a nice suprise. Cade's in the garage practicing with his band. Why don't you go watch?"

And so she did.

Alice walked in to the garage and watched as a popular girl yelled at the band.

"Ugh! You can't keep tempo, you sound horrendous, and you can't even dress appropreitly! That's it, I'm finding another band to help me win the Band Wars!"

The popular walked to where Alice was and shoved past her.

She looked back at the band who looked worried.

Her best friend, Cade, was pacing the garage muttering about how without a lead singer, the band would never beat MyKayla in the Band Wars.

Alice shifted her backpack onto her left shoulder and walked up to Cade. She tapped his shoulder and he spun around.

"Alice! How long have you been here? Never mind, thanks for bringing my homework. Do you, by any chance, know any one who can sing? Like really good?"

She shook her head no.

Cade sighed and said "Hey, do you mind taking the mic for a bit? We need to practice but we don't have a lead."

She looked at her feet.

Help her best friend and humiliate herself or run out of terror?

She sighed and nodded to Cade, who jumped up and down when she did.

"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Just one song, I promise!"

"Which song?" She asked.

"Animal by Neon Trees. You know that one, right?" One of Cade's band mates replied.

She nodded and stood in front of the mic.

The music started and she forgot she was with other people.

So she sung her heart out.

And boy, was the band suprised.
