Adelaide rolled out of bed, groaning as she thought about going back to work, or in her mind, the crime scene. She decided that she'd try another night shift, even though the first time she ever did, she found Brianna dead in the parking lot. She looked over at her alarm clock. 6:00 pm. She did the math in her head.
"That means I only have two hours before I have to be at work," she said to herself. She grabbed the dark, black towel hanging on the closet door and headed for the shower.

Dean threw the book he had in his hand onto the bed.
"Nothing! I got nothing!" Dean hollered, as he threw his hands in the air. Sam looked up at Dean from the book he was reading, but didn't move his head. Dean looked over at Sam, waiting for a response. Sam quickly shut his book and awkwardly cleared his throat, something he did a lot.
"Well, maybe we need a break. You know? We can go get a beer and some burgers. I went to this great bar and grill last night. I think it's called Peter's Bar and Grill," Sam suggested. Dean nodded his head, while grabbing his jacket.
"Sounds good. But maybe we could go to Bucky's Bar. I mean, that is where the murder happened. Maybe we'll see something suspicious," Dean explained. He grabbed the keys to his car and waited at the door for Sam to slip on his jacket. "Ready?" He asked. Sam nodded. The two boys left the small, stingy motel room and off to Bucky's Bar.

Adelaide fiddled with her hair one more time in the bathroom mirror. She looked over at her phone. 7:45 pm.
"Time to go, anyway," she mumbled. She grabbed her phone, purse, and jacket and left her small apartment. She slowly walked down the narrow hallway and into the elevator. She pressed the lobby button, hoping that the elevator stopped so she wouldn't have to go to work tonight. But, she had no luck. The elevator made a ding and the doors opened. Adelaide sighed and hesitantly stepped out and started walking to work.

Sam and Dean pushed open the bar doors and looked around for a couple of empty seats.
"There's a couple of empty bar stools over there," Sam said, while pointing to two bar stools by the bar.
"Perfect! Right by the kitchen and beer," Dean said, pleased with the seats. He walked ahead to take a seat, but Sam stayed behind for a short second, sighing and rolling his eyes at his brother's remark, before quickly following him to the seats. Adelaide walked through the back door, which was the employees door, and through the steaming hot kitchen. She hung her leather jacket carelessly up on a coat rack and rushed over to the bar. She served a couple of other men before she walked over to Sam and Dean.
"What can I get you two-" she stopped herself. She had noticed who she was talking to. "Hey, guys," she said, her voice perking up a bit, as if she was happy to see Sam and Dean.
"You know him?" The brothers said at the same time, pointing at one another. Adelaide giggled a little bit.
"Yeah. I know Sam," she pointed at Sam. "Because we met at Peter's Bar and Grill yesterday and I know him," she pointed at Dean. "Because we keep running into eachother randomly," Adelaide explained. "Now, anyway, what can I get you two?"
"One beer and one burger please," Dean ordered. Adelaide nodded. Dean and Adelaide looked over at Sam, waiting for his order.
"I'll have the same," he said. Adelaide nodded.
"You got it!" She said, as she walked away, to place their order in.
Not long after Adelaide placed Sam and Dean's orders in, it arrived. She placed the hot plates with burgers on them in front of the two boys and cold beers beside their plates. The boys thanked her. Adelaide nodded and returned to serving other customers.
A couple of hours had passed, but the night was finally over for Adelaide. Since the murder, everyone thought it was a good idea to close the bar earlier than usual. The other staff members left not too long ago. Adelaide was left alone in the bar, sweeping and locking up, as usual. Adelaide finished sweeping the old, creaky, wooden floors and grabbed her belongings as she walked over to the alarm. She whispered to code to herself and shut the lights out, her usual routine. She shut the door and looked around the parking lot, looking for any danger. When she saw that the coast was clear, she started to speed walk to her car, which was all the way on the other side of the large parking lot. Adelaide sighed and picked up her pace. She could've sworn that she heard footsteps behind her, but she was too scared to turn around. She heard the footsteps walk faster, so Adelaide did the same. As Adelaide reached her car, she fumbled for her keys. In her panic, she dropped them. Adelaide bent down to pick up her keys, but before she could, she felt a claw hit her back. She hissed and cried out in pain. Adelaide dropped to her knees, scratching them up in the fall.
"Hey!" She heard a man's voice holler. It sounded familiar. Adelaide heard a gun shot. She jumped at the loud and far too close for her liking, sound. Adelaide tried to turn over to see who her knight in shining armour was, but she was in too much pain. As Adelaide laid was bent over, she felt a hand on her shoulder. Adelaide jumped and screamed at the person to go away, thinking it was her attacker.
"Hey, hey, hey. It's okay, it's okay," a soft, calming voice cooed her. Adelaide looked over at the man beside her. It was Sam.
"Sam?" Adelaide questioned. Sam gave her a soft smile. Adelaide returned the gesture. Sam slowly helped her up and carried her to the Impala. Adelaide buried her face into his chest, feeling safe from the warmth of him. Sam opened the car door and laid Adelaide on her side across the back seats. Sam rushed over to the passengers seat and jumped in. He looked like he was waiting for someone. As Adelaide wondered who he could be waiting for, Dean jumped in the drivers seat and quickly sped out of the parking lot. "Sam's brother?" Adelaide asked. Dean looked at her through the rear view mirror and smiled at her, laughing slightly.
"My name's Dean," Dean said. Adelaide's eyes went wide. She slowly pushed her sleeve up, looking at the name on her arm.
"Dean Winchester?" She whispered to herself. Dean gave her a questioning look. She quickly pulled her sleeve back down, before Dean could see a name.
"I never caught your name," Dean noted. Adelaide stuttered for a moment. She didn't know if she should give him a fake name or her real name.
"Adelaide," Adelaide replied, thinking it was best to stay honest with the two boys. Dean's calm look turned into shocked one. He wondered if this was Adelaide Collins or if she was just some other girl named Adelaide. "What was that thing?" Adelaide asked. Sam and Dean exchanged a look. Dean slightly nodded at Sam and Sam cleared his throat.
"That was a werewolf, actually," Sam slowly said, in an awkward tone.
"Are you serious?" Adelaide practically shouted. Sam nodded.
"Unfortunately, it killed your friend, Brianna. It's the one that took her heart. Now, it's after you, for some reason." Adelaide shook her head.
"You have to be joking," she laughed, awkwardly. Sam shook his head.
"I'm sorry, but I'm not. This is what Dean and I do. We hunt monsters. You know? Werewolves, demons, ghosts, vampires, etc. We save people from these things, because, sadly, these things exist," Sam tried to explain further. Adelaide slowly started nodding her head. She couldn't believe that she was actually starting to believe them.
"I can't believe it, but I actually believe you." Sam smiled at her, which made Adelaide smile back.
"Good, because it's true," Dean told her, without taking his eyes off of the road. Adelaide nodded, she didn't know what else to do. Adelaide tried to adjust herself in the seat, but she ended up hurting her back even more. She hissed at the pain. Both of the boys put all of their attention on her.
"I'm okay. I'm okay," Adelaide tried to reassure them.
"Just hang in there. We're almost at our bunker," Dean told Adelaide. "When we get inside, we'll fix your back up."
"And until this werewolf business gets fixed, you'll probably be staying with us," Sam added.
"Sounds good to me," Adelaide exclaimed. She was hoping to get to know Sam and Dean's last name, so that she would know if this guy was her soulmate.

The Impala pulled onto a rocky, narrow driveway, which led to a garage in a large bunker. The garage doors slowly opened and Dean carefully pulled the car into a parking spot. Adelaide gasped at the size of the place
"Wow," she breathed. Dean chuckled a little bit.
"I know right? Isn't she beautiful?" Dean joked. Adelaide slightly laughed, causing a sharp pain in her side to strike. She grasped onto her side, wincing at the pain. Sam and Dean jumped out of the car and to Adelaide's aid. Sam slowly pulled her out of car, helping her lean again the door. He wrapped one of his arms around her knees and the other around the back of her neck. He carried her through the door, down the stairs, through the hallway, and into his room. Dean helped hold doors open for him. Sam gently and cautiously laid Adelaide across his bed, Dean sat down beside her, fixing her pillows and helping her move onto her side. Sam rushed to get the first aid kit he kept on the top shelf of his closet. "If it's okay, I'm gonna pull your shirt up. Just enough the tend to the wounds," Dean explained to her. Adelaide loved how Dean asked for her permission. Adelaide nodded.
"Do whatever you need to do," she told them. Sam pulled out some polysporin, some bandages, and some medical tape. He cautiously smeared some polysporin on Adelaide's gashes. After that was done, he finished the job by putting some taping some bandages onto the wounds, Dean talking Adelaide through the process. Finally, the boys finished fixing her up. "Thank you," she said to them.
"Anytime. We're here for you," Dean replied. Adelaide smiled at him. "So, do you want your own room or are you gonna share with one of us?" Dean asked.
"Whatever you think is best," Adelaide answered. Dean nodded and looked over at Sam. Adelaide swore that they had some telepathic language that they both understood, because they didn't even use words to make decisions. When Sam nodded back, Dean turned to Adelaide.
"Well, we think, because of your condition right now, it would be best that you shared a room with me or Sam," Dean explained. Adelaide nodded, agreeing with their choice. "But it's totally up to you to decide who you want to share a room with until your wounds are healed." Adelaide thought for a moment. She was already more comfortable with Sam, maybe it was because of his gentle nature towards her, but she wanted to see if this Dean was her soulmate, Dean Winchester.
"I think I'm gonna stay with Dean," Adelaide slowly replied. "I'm sorry, Sam."
"No offence taken. It's perfectly fine," Sam assured her. Adelaide flashed him a quick smile. Adelaide turned her head towards Dean, who had the biggest grin spread across his face.
"Show me the way to your room," she giggled. Dean slowly picked her up and carried her off to his room. Adelaide was surprised when she noticed how big this place really was. It had so many rooms, so many twists and turns, but the boy's rooms were just around the corner from each other. Dean carefully set Adelaide down on his large bed and walked over to a chair that was in front of a small desk. He took his jacket off and threw it into the chair. He kicked his boots off beside the chair and walked over to the bed.
"Would you like me to take your shoes off for you?" He asked. Adelaide smiled at his gentleman-like gesture.
"Yes please," she replied. Dean walked over to her feet and slowly peeled her running shoes off, being careful to not put her through anymore pain.
"Anything else?" He asked. Adelaide shook her head.
"No, I'm all good. Thanks, though." Dean nodded.
"So, exciting day for you," Dean tried to joke. Adelaide laughed.
           "Yea, I guess so."
"If you need anything, just let me know. But, I think I'm gonna get some sleep. You should too." Adelaide nodded and thanked Dean. Dean smiled softly at her, which made her blush. He crawled into the other side of the bed and pulled the covers up to his shoulders, which Adelaide noticed were perfectly sculpted. Adelaide snuggled down into the bed, trying to get comfortable. She pulled the covers up to her shoulders, as well. She rolled over so her back was facing Dean. Dean rolled over to his face was facing Adelaide's back, but he didn't snuggle up next to her. He didn't want to hurt her and he had to keep reminding himself that he just met her, even though he kept getting this feeling that this girl is Adelaide Collins.
