"(Y/N), you got lucky this time. The baby is perfectly okay. It's normal to bleed for your first trimester but you need to rest for a couple of days. Okay?" Your doctor said to you while writing something
"Doc, why do this happen?" Niall asked
"Most common reason is because of stress." She answered "For example bad surroundings, work, not eating at the right time and usually lack of sleep." You and Niall nodded at the same time "It causes stress to the mommy and when the mommy is stress it also affects the baby. So you should be careful on your emotions and also on what you eat. Because everything you do is connected to the baby. Okay?"
"Okay thank you doc." Niall said and after the doctor left you sat down on the hospital bed
"Thanks for bringing me here." you said breaking the awkward silence
"Yeah no problem. Come on I'll take you home." He said and you smiled and nodded
The car ride is awkwardly silent. You just stare at the window and just looking at the houses that passes by
"I'm sorry. For all the trouble I did today, I didn't mean to harm our baby." He sighed and your face lit up our baby
"So you accept?" You asked him getting nervous
"Well, sorta. We're not yet sure if that baby is 100% mine. But for now, I'll help you on your needs. But after 6 weeks if that baby is not mine. Don't bother coming back and forget everything alright?"
"But this baby is really yours! I don't even have a boyfriend, I didn't have sex with anyone! You're the one who took my virginity so who else is the father of my baby except you?!" Your voice rising because he is starting to frustrate you
"We're still gonna do that paternity test to make sure that baby is mine. You also need to learn on how to calm down, (Y/N). It's not healthy for the both of you." He soothingly said
You pulled your shit together and took a deep breath to calm down your nerves. Niall's right you should learn to calm down. For the baby.
"Nobody knows I'm pregnant, Niall. Not even my parents. Only you." You said looking down while fidgeting your fingers
"How come your parents don't know your pregnant? I thought you already told them."
"I can't tell them, I don't want to disappoint them. They know that there daughter passed her board exam and has a training in London for 9 months." You said your eyes starting to get watery "I really wanna make them proud."
"Are you saying that our baby is a disappointment?" He asked looking at you
"What?! No! I didn't mean it like that, it's just--" You said covering your face because you don't want him to see you cry
He then stopped the car on the side of the road and unbuckled his seatbelt then scooted towards you to hug you
"I'm scared, Niall." You said sobbing to his shoulder
Niall then rubbed the back of your back trying to calm you down.
"We're gonna figure this out okay?" He whispered to you
You pulled away on Niall's embrace and you took your handkerchief on your right pocket to wiped off the tears on your face
"I'm scared too, (Y/N). But I have to be there for the baby." He sighed and rubbed the back of his neck "Believe it or not I'm starting to feel a relationship between the baby, that's why I wanna take the paternity test to make sure it's really mine."
And that made your heart melt, he is gonna be there for the for you and the baby.
He's going to be a father.
