"B-babe?"

Thirdy felt the same feeling he experienced years ago, when Bea first called him 'babe', when how they call each other sweetly---when how their hearts became soft by just saying that word.

When 'you and I' still existed in them.

Tummy filled with butterflies, hands became sweaty, mouth unable to utter a word, body started to get weak, and heart pounding so fast.

Admist all of these, he still managed to walk towards Bea.

"Y-you, you remember na?" Thirdy's voice was shaking as tears were about to fall from his eyes.

"Every single memory, babe. Every bit of it." Bea genuinely smiled.

Thirdy's knees started to get weak. He just kneeled infront of her---as his tears started to fall.

"I love you so much, so much." Bea sincerely said and wiped the tears of the latter using her thumbs.

"Staying and waiting is one of the best decisions I've made. I love you, babe, so bad."

"But why didn't you left me? Our relationship gave you so many problems none of us thought we'd experience. You had million chances and million reasons to leave." Bea looked down.

"Hey. Look at me." Thirdy cupped Bea's face.

"I may have given so many problems, but those problems made me stronger. It made me love you even more." Thirdy genuinely smiled.

"I may have given million chances and million reasons to leave, but all I needed was one good reason to stay."

Bea's tears started to fall again.

"And that reason, is you." Thirdy kissed Bea's forehead.

-----

It was half an hour ago after that conversation, and a comfortable silence rose between them.

It was just the two of them. Together with the sound of the waves, the stars and the moon above, and the fire which wasn't felt caused by the cold breeze.

Thirdy looked at Bea, who was looking at the stars, and obviously feeling cold.

"Bring your jacket next time." Thirdy took of his own jacket and placed it on Bea's.

"Uy, it's ok. Sayo nalang." Bea tried to remove the jacket but Thirdy insisted not too.

"Bakit ayaw mo ng jacket ko? Gusto mo ba hug nalang?" Thirdy teased.

"Whatever, babe." Bea rolled her eyes playfully.

Thirdy giggled.

"Kilig ka nanaman." Bea laughed.

"I've waited so long just to hear you say 'babe' to me again. Of course kikiligin ako." Thirdy chuckled.

Silence.

Thirdy grabbed the paper Bea was holding.

"Napansin mo ba dati yung punit dito?" He asked.

Bea nodded.

"Now I know kung bakit punit yan. Andyan pala sayo yung continuation." She smiled.

"Yeah." Thirdy placed both ends of the paper beside each other, and it fits perfectly.

Just like them.

They may have been separated, but they were destined to be together.

And they fit perfectly to each other.
