CHAPTER 48

Tita Det calling...

Thirdy took out his phone and nervously answered the call.

"Hello po, tita?"

"Thirdy? Is everything set? Are you guys ready na?"

Thirdy roamed his eyes around the place, and slowly smiled.

"Yes po tita. Everything is ready. Nasaan na po kayo?"

"Andito na kami. Naghahanap nalang kami ng parking space. We'll go there immediately."

"Sige po. See you tita."

Thirdy let out a deep breath as he ended the call.

"Nervous?" Kiefer patted the latter's back.

"Super." Thirdy awkwardly laughed.

"It's okay. Normal lang yan." Kiefer chuckled. "If you still remembered my face when I was on your place a few years ago, you would know."

They both shared a small laugh.

"Sige na. Mukhang hindi mo ako kayang kausapin ngayon sa kaba." Kiefer shook his head. "Just know that I'm so proud of you, no matter how this one will turn out."

Thirdy mouthed a thank you and hugged his brother.

"Thirdy!" Elmer called the attention of the latter.

Thirdy broke the hug and nodded at Kiefer.

"Andito na ba lahat?" Det asked.

"Yes po." Thirdy answered shyly.

Elmer grabbed both of Thirdy's hands and started shaking it.

"Come on, Thirds. Loosen up! This might be your only chance, baka masayang dahil kinakabahan ka." Elmer grinned.

Thirdy laughed and scratched his head.

"Trust me, it will turn out the way you want it to be." Det assured.

Thirdy's anxiousness was lessened. He smiled as a reply and took out his phone to dial Brix.

Thirdy calling...

"Thank God" Brix whispered as he answered the call.

"Anuna Thirds?"

"Brix, everything is set. Start na."

"Okay okay."

Brix ended the call and immediately roamed around the campus.

Luckily, he saw Bea walking around, and just by looking at her gestures, she's looks really bothered.

"Bei!"

Bea gave the latter a surprised look.

"Didn't expect to see you around here." Bea chuckled.

"Yeah." Brix just smiled as he didn't knew what to reply.

Bea was still uneasy while roaming her eyes around.

"Any problem?" Brix asked.

"Maddie. She said na mag-meet kami here at Ateneo at 3pm. It's almost four, I still can't find her." Bea massaged her forehead.

"Oh" Brix blurted out. "Samahan nalang muna kita while finding Mads."

Bea gladly accepted the offer of Brix. After all, she was tired and lonely for a while already, might have someone to keep herself company.

"Haven't talked to you for so long already." Bea said as they started walking.

"I know. You went to Europe eh."
