I would feel bad saying no to Kaz.
So I didn't.
It's not that I don't want him living in the house, I just think him (and all of us) will need some time to get into a new routine.
Kaz said he would be here by 11 to start moving in his stuff but it's about 12 when he actually arrives. The fashionably late bastard.
"Late as usual," I yell to Kaz, at the bottom of the driveway, as I walk down the steps of the front porch.
"Punctual as ever," he replies back with a sneer.
God, I hope I live through this.
"Are you gonna help a cripple get his things or not?" Kaz asks as he gets two boxes out of his car and limps over with them under his arms.
I smile, remembering how Kaz broke his leg in sophomore year. He got drunk off his ass and fell down the stairs at a frat party. He never bothered getting it properly fixed due to his lack of insurance. He's been limping ever sense.
"I'm sure you can manage," I say back as I watch him limp past me into the house.
