Here I was again. Stuck. Marooned. If I had a white flag, I would've started waving it ages ago. Not like anyone would've noticed. Or cared. Wonder why? 'Cause everyone around me is stuck here too. Not like we could escape, even if we wanted to. (Which, obviously, we all do. Duh.) We're all stuck here and we can't get out.
As these thoughts trickled through my head for the millionth time, it seemed as if the light of Heaven opened up before us as the large metal door swung open and the shadow of a muscular man stood in the doorway.
