As we began the trek back to camp, I considered the possibilities.

What was it that Mia was so intent and afraid of telling us? I mean, it can't be that important, right? There isn't exactly much to do here.

Maybe they spotted someone in the woods? Are there others here that we don't know about?

No, that can't be it.

I scratched my right wing nervously. Was I supposed to make conversation? I had no idea!

"Hey, are you okay? You look like you might puke." Fox said, putting a gentle hand on Mia's shoulder.

"I. . . I'll tell you when we get to camp," was Mia's troubled reply. She wrapped a hand around her waist, and starting walking a bit faster.

We made it to camp in record time. Tyler was waiting for us when we got there, and behind him the rest of the group.

This was officially strange.

"I'm glad you all made it here so quickly," Tyler began when we took a seat. Sara immediately sat down in Fox's lap, and Fox wrapped her arms lovingly over the child.

"We have some news for you all." Mia said, coming to stand beside Tyler.

What in the name of...

"We're... Expecting a child." Tyler said awkwardly, scratching his neck.

No. Freaking. Way.

Ferris's jaw dropped.

Fox gasped.

Sara giggled.

Cameron raised a suspicious eyebrow.

I was speechless.

Thank God for Fox. "That's great news!" She beamed, unable to hide the surprise in her voice. She set down Sara and excitedly ran to Mia, engulfing the girl in a hug.

The rest of us caught on quickly and began to congratulate the two, and I slapped Tyler on the back.

"Dude, I had no idea you guys were that close," I started. Tyler looked unsure.

"Yeah, we've been together a lot since we escaped." He looked around, then in a lower voice, looked me in the eye and said "can I talk to you somewhere else?"

I looked around thoughtfully before nodding. "Sure. Let's climb a tree."

He nodded before quickly scrambling up the trunk of our sleeping tree, and then climbed to a higher branch before I even began to make my way to the tree.

Once on a branch facing his, I waited for him to begin.

"I have no idea what to do. I'm nervous, Jett. Really nervous. What are we gonna do with a kid? We can't do anything with a baby! It'll wake up the whole forest! Plus, that's one more mouth to feed! We can't have this kid, Jett. I have no idea what to do." He took a rugged breath and looked up at me, looking suddenly much older than he was.

I thought for a moment before speaking. His question was valid, and I had no experience with problems such as this.

"Let me let you in on something, Tyler," I said, then taking a deep breath, I continued, "we're planning on moving. To the city. Any day now. And once we get there, we can find a good place for the baby. It'll be okay, this'll work out."

Tyler exhaled shakily and nodded. He seemed a bit more relaxed.

"Thanks, Jett."
