Epilogue:  8 months later, 3rd person POV

“Do you, Daniel John Sahyoune, take Bonnie Marie Preston to be your lawfully wedded Wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death you do part?”

“I do.”

“Do you, Bonnie Marie Preston, take Daniel John Sahyoune, to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death you do part?”

“I do.” Bonnie managed to choke out through her tears.

“Can I have the rings?” the priest asked. Daniel’s little brother stepped forward and handed the rings to the priest. He handed Daniel Bonnie’s wedding band.

“Daniel, take this ring and repeat after me.” Daniel grabbed Bonnie’s hand and prepared to slide the ring onto her finger. He had been waiting for this day for the past 8 months and he wanted is to be perfect.

“With this ring, I thee wed.”

Daniel repeated the six words and looked deep into Bonnie’s eyes. She had been crying the entire ceremony, but they were the happiest tears she had ever cried in her lifetime. The priest then handed Bonnie Daniel’s wedding band.

“Bonnie, take this ring and repeat after me. With this ring, I thee wed.” Bonnie slowly took a grip onto Daniel’s hand and slid the ring onto his finger.

“With this ring-“she choked on her tears. “I thee wed.” Bonnie looked up to see Daniel grinning from ear to ear, and she couldn’t help but to let out a small giggle.

“You may now kiss the bride!” the priest exclaimed. Daniel slowly leaned in and Bonnie did the same. As soon as their lips connected there was a huge outburst from the small crowd they had, mostly made up of Daniel’s friends. As their kiss broke, they stared into each other’s eyes and Daniel picked up his new wife and carried her down the aisle.

The wedding wasn’t a huge turnout, but they didn’t need a huge wedding to prove their love to each other. Bonnie’s mom made the decision not to come since she didn’t approve of the engagement in the first place, but Bonnie didn’t really want her mom to come anyways. The wedding was most Daniel’s friends and Bonnie invited a few people she was kind of close with. Of course, she invited Alana and she was even nice enough to invite Dolores and her little sister. Bonnie recently became really good friends with a girl in a few of her classes named Renata. She was really nice and she always let Bonnie come and rant to her about her day or about her mom. Bonnie said she was like a Daniel when Bonnie was away from Daniel. Bonnie and Daniel both agreed that the most important guest at their wedding had to be Daniel’s grandfather. Since his grandfather had gotten out of the hospital, the two men had been closer than ever before. When Daniel moved out of his grandfather’s house, it was a pretty emotional day, but it was just a step forward for Daniel in his life.

The wedding turned out to be a huge success and Bonnie and Daniel were happier than they ever had been before. The reception was definitely a lot of fun as well. Everyone was dancing, and since Bonnie didn’t have a dad to share the father-daughter dance with, Daniel’s grandfather stepped forward and danced with her. When Bonnie looked around to find Daniel during the dance, he had tears streaming down his face at the sight. It made Daniel so happy just to see how happy Bonnie was and how well she got along with his grandfather. Not to mention, Bonnie looked absolutely stunning in her dress.

As the years passed, Bonnie and Daniel were still as happy as they were the night of their wedding. With two children added to the equation, Daniel Jr and Hannah, who Daniel nicknamed “Little H”. She was born premature, which is how Daniel started the nickname because she was so small, but she was still perfectly healthy. Daniel couldn’t believe how far they had come in their relationship, from being best friends to being husband and wife, but he would never forget the glorious journey and the couple of challenges that got them there.

It was all worth it. Nothing could bring them down from here. They had the best relationship of all of their friends. People envied how close they had become.

Daniel took a break from playing around with Little H who was now 2 years old and Daniel Jr was just about to turn 4 in the next couple of days. Bonnie was in this kitchen, preparing dinner when Daniel walked up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist. Bonnie relaxed and leaned into him.

“How are you doing babe?” he asked. Bonnie turned around and smiled at him, wrapping her arms around his neck. They kissed for a moment but then-

“Ewwwww!” Little H exclaimed from the living room. Daniel and Bonnie just smiled at each other, knowing that everything was just perfect. They were in love, with each other as well as in love with their kids.

What could be better?
