Chapter 11: February 6, 2012 8:03AM
I was awake for a while before I actually opened my eyes and realized I wasn’t in my bedroom. I must have fallen asleep last night in the living room while Daniel and I were having a movie marathon. Wait, what day is it? I started to sit up but was being pulled back by Daniel’s arm which was wrapped around my waist. I swear every time he touched me, even if it was just a brush against our shoulders, fireworks went off. It felt purely magical. I laid back down next to him and put my head on his chest as I casually scrolled through Instagram. I sat up once again and just admired him. He was smiling, so he must have been having a good dream or something.
“Stop looking at me.” He mumbled.
“Sorry, I just can’t help myself.” I replied, while nudging him playfully.
“What time is it?” he groaned, sleepily.
“It’s…” I said, while unlocking my phone. “It’s 8:05… school start an hour ago.”
“Oh well.” Daniel said, falling back asleep.
“Don’t fall back asleep!” I shook him.
“Why not?” he asked. “We’re already late for school.”
“I’m bored, let’s go somewhere.”
He didn’t answer.
“Daniel!” I exclaimed.
Again, he didn’t even budge.
“Fine, I guess I’ll go get cheesecake without you!” I said as I ran upstairs to my room.
“I’m up!” he yelled
I knew cheesecake would work. It was Daniel’s only weakness. He chased me up the stairs into my room and playfully tackled me onto my bed. Oh my gosh. Daniel was RIGHT there. I couldn’t help but to stare into his perfect brown eyes. He was perfect and all I wanted was for him to be mine. Officially, at least. Daniel slowly started leaning in towards me. I propped up onto my elbows and pushed out my lips towards his. The second they connected I had that firework feeling again. He pulled away and I opened my eyes to see that wonderful smile I always loved.
“What are you thinking about?” Daniel asked.
“You…” I replied, with a huge grin on my face.
“Oh really?” he asked.
“Yupp.” I felt my cheeks grow red so I laid flat on my back hoping he wouldn’t notice.
“I love when you blush.” He commented.
He laid with me on my bed, his head on my stomach and his legs hanging off the bed. I played with his hair while he just stared at the ceiling, smiling.
“Now what are YOU thinking about?” I asked.
“Bonnie… I was thinking…”
“What’s wrong?”
“Nothing’s wrong! Trust me, it’s not wrong. But I was thinking… do you want to… um. Sorry. Just forget I ever said anything.”
“No Daniel, just say it.” I was trying to contain my excitement, having an idea of what Daniel was trying to say. Daniel sat up and grabbed my hands, staring into my eyes. My cheeks burned red again, so I just looked down at our intertwined fingers.
“Bonnie… will you be my girlfriend?”
“Of course I will.” I said, leaning in to kiss his lips again. Fireworks. I loved that.
Daniel pulled away and just smiled at me. He climbed off of my bed and grabbed his keys off of my dresser.
“Now how about some cheesecake?”
