Time passed.
Really quickly, without even having a thought of slowing down we had became a senior in school.
And I was still in love with my Princess.
👑
My Princess...
She looked at me with her eyes that sparkled and seemed to see through me. I felt almost small when she looked at me, but it was the feeling that she could see through me that got me.
"I-I..." I began.
I cursed in my head but I didn't voice it out. I couldn't I was afraid she would see me as a cursing fool.
"Yes?" She said, her eyes taking me cautiously as if I was going to lash out at her.
But I would never do that. She pressed her lips together and twisted them and bit them as she waited for me but while she did that, I couldn't help but stare at her lips, how soft and full they were. They were dry but I could happily moisturize them—if she let me.
"Jin...I need to get to the bathroom." I watched as she finally said.
"Oh." My thoughts focused as I realized in fact that I was blocking her way to the bathroom. "Yeah...y-yeah. Here," I moved to the side as she nodded. "Sorry."
"It's okay." She glanced at me once more before disappearing into the girl's restroom.
I sighed and took a step forward back to the classroom.
What was I doing?
Why couldn't I just speak to her normally? I didn't understand.
Mouth, why will you not move normally?
Then I felt an arm, a heavy arm, droop around my shoulders. I tensed as I knew the weight. I knew it so well.
"So..." He began and I rolled my eyes at him.
"What do you want?" I bitterly asked knowing he was going to be a sassy know it all.
"I saw that." He chuckled as he glanced back and I already knew where he was looking at. "You still can't talk to her normally?"
"No," I groaned. "I really don't understand my head."
"Hi, Jin!" A girl interrupted as she passed by us. Namjoon chuckled as he heard me reply to her.
"Hey sweetheart." I regretted it as soon as it had entered my ears. "Ugh..."
I elbowed Namjoon when he began laughing at me. This was ridiculous and him laughing at me was not going to help me win her over.
"Why can't I talk to her normally? Everyone else is fine!"
"You know I'm still surprised that you like her. I thought you'd like other type of girls."
"What's wrong with my Princess?" I exclaimed. "Look at her. She's so perfect!"
"You're so weird. No wonder she doesn't even look at you." Namjoon just had it out for me. He just had to poke at the things that bothered me.
"She looks at me." I got sad. Maybe what he was saying is true. Namjoon was in our grade and he was the smartest.
"Oh. She definitely does not look at you." Yoongi smirked when I turned to look at the intruder. His raspy voice was full of teasing. "I don't even think she knows you exist."
"She knows..." I whined.
I was desperate though. Does she know me?
"She said my name today." I whispered out.
"Hyung...we're in our last year and she barely knows you." Namjoon says as he takes his arms off of my shoulders.
"If it wasn't because of you two, she would have known my name." I told them. "She would have been mine already. I blame you all."
It really was their fault. If they hadn't been so perfect or so flashy, my Princess would have looked at me.
Yoongi rolled his eyes at me.
Namjoon just patted my back. "From what I hear though, she doesn't have a type."
"And what does that mean?" What was he getting at?"
"It means—nicely put—that you have a chance." Yoongi shrugs as he texts on the phone. I never understood how he never got caught once on his phone. "I got to go. I'll see you guys tomorrow!"
"Ah—Yoongi! Where are you going?" I shouted but he had ran too quickly, almost like a cheetah and not a turtle. It was strange seeing him running. "Where is he going?" I asked Namjoon but he shrugged.
"Knowing him, it's probably his childhood friend. The one that he has a soft spot for."
"Ohh, her." I nodded. I knew who he was talking about. "I think he likes her." Whenever he talked about her, even when it was brief, his eyes would light up.
"Him? No way..." Namjoon didn't believe me.
We both shrugged as we went our way into the Student council office.
Namjoon kept talking but I was only focused on my precious royal Princess.
