As Gerard steps out the seminary, he saw a young man who is wearing a fedora on his head, standing and leaning his back against the streetlamp.
"Hey Patrick!" Gerard called his best friend since childhood; Patrick Stump.
Patrick looked up and he went to Gerard "Hey Gee!" Patrick greets.
"I thought I would meet you at the bar with Brendon?" Gerard asked
"Nah, you know Beebo. He always comes late because he's too conscious about his look. So instead of waiting alone, let's go together and wait for him." Patrick rolled his eyes.
Gerard chuckled in response "Fine, let's go!" Gerard said and they both walked on the pavements, on their way to the bar.
"How's your life in the seminary? You're getting close to graduation!" Patrick suddenly said.
Gerard sighed in response "Well it is really hard I tell you." He said "But it's worth it because my dream to be a priest is near to become a reality."
"Why do you want to be a priest again?" Patrick asked.
Gerard put his hands inside his pockets "Well... You know..." He said then Patrick got Gerard's answer
"Is it because of him?" Patrick asked like a young child.
Gerard nodded in response. "I know there is a chance that I could change him. Like how our saviour Jesus changed Paul. From Saul who is a executor of Christians who transformed into Paul; the preacher of the word of God. By the grace of God, I believe that I could change him. I have strong faith in God and nothing could break this faith."
Patrick smiles at Gerard, amazed by his faith. "Wow... You really are devoted." He said. "At least now you know what you want to do in life. While me... I still don't know what I want to do or want to be in my life."
Gerard smiled at him and pats Patrick's back "Don't worry Patrick! You're still young! Maybe one day you will see your path!" Gerard said.
"Well yeah maybe..." Patrick replied
