It been two days since Patrick died and it was very quiet. Silence, it was very violent for Gerard right now and only the sound of the water pouring out from the shower. He is not taking a shower, he is just sitting down on the bathroom floor letting the water pour on his head while pondering. He knew to himself he has a strong faith but he ask himself right now, why when he became a priest, these things happen.
"Father, I know you won't let our friendship end. I put all my trust in you..." He whispered to himself.
After Gerard ponders, he is just sitting in the cathedral bench and prays and he closed his eyes. As he closed his eyes while praying, he sees cryptic images, a man in a red cloak and a familiar silhouette holding the devli's key.
Gerard gasps as he opened his eyes and his phone vibrates.
"Brendon..?" He gasps and he answered the call.
"Hey Gee, sorry I didn't attend the funeral" Brendon casually said
"Why does it sound that it's fine with you?" Gerard asked, sounded hurt.
Brendon cleared his throat "what? Of course not. I'm just sounding cool to hide the pain. It's hard for me that we lose Patrick..."
Gerard is not convinced to Brendon's statement. "Can we meet up...?" Gerard asked.
"Where to?" Brendon replied.
"Maybe your place...? If you're not hiding something." Gerard stood up as he grips on his phone.
Seconds of dead air is being heard and then Brendon responds "Why not at the tree house..? After all, we all shared memories on that place with Patrick, right?"
"Fine with me." Gerard responded as he stood up and he looked up at the huge crucifix at the altar "Let your will be done..."
Night, the full moon is bright but the sky has no stars on it as Gerard came to the woods and he climbed up the tree house bringing a bible, probably for his protection from above. No one is around and only the chirps of the crickets are heard. He saw his sketchpad where he drew the image of the ancient relic known as the 'devils key'. He picked it up and looked at it. And he felt a presence right behind him. He pulled out his bible and he turned his back.
A grinning Brendon Urie appeared from the dark shadows and only the moon light is the source of light. "You came, my friend." He said, grinning while his hands are right behind him.
Gerard looked at Brendon "friend..?" He said while holding his bible.
"Oh what's this? You're bringing your fairytale book?" Brendon mocked
Gerard looked at Brendon sharply as Brendon hides through the shadows
"Let's see how powerful that book is..." He whispers as a reflection of a metal shines and going to stab Gerard at his back but Gerard's reflexes is faster than Brendon's
"Go on try me!" Gerard pulled out a loaded gun that he was hiding inside his bible.
Brendon was stunned as first but he chuckled. "What's this? You're hiding a gun inside your book? Is that even Godly?"
"I don't care anymore what is Godly or not." Gerard said while still pointing the gun on Brendon.
"So it's true... All this time, Patrick is telling the truth... And so does Tyler!" Gerard said in intense anger inside him.
"Did your church taught you to be dumb and naive?" Brendon rolled his eyes while his hands are on his hips then he shows his secret yet powerful weapon; the ancient artefact, the devil's key.
