"Why aren't you talking?" Nolan asked me during the next lesson.
"I don't know, maybe I don't want to talk to a drunk." I replied.
He looked down for a moment. "What did I do that day? I'm sorry but I really can't remember."
"Just forget about it."
"Stacy, I'm really sorry for everything I did. I'm trying to give up alchohol now. I haven't had beer in a week."
It was silent for a moment. Then I sighed. "Well, you told me that I was beautiful and that you loved me. But you were really drunk." I confessed.
There was another moment of silence. "I did?" he asked. I refused to answer.
It was quiet the rest of the lesson. When we both stood up to leave, he leaned toward me. I'm still questioning if what happened next was real, but he kissed me. It was the first kiss I had ever gotten, and I didn't want it to stop. After a while, he pulled away.
"Maybe I meant to say those things." he claimed.
Like I said before, I tried not to fall in love with him. Well, I tried.
