The next two weeks went by really slow, and I mean really slow. I've earned zero points at making friends, so at lunch I sat alone. Of course, I talked to people but I didn't really consider them as friends. But on the bright side, the Poppies didn't bother me that much anymore. The "Ms. Ass" joke was getting so damn old. Another thing that was interesting was that Mrs. Wheeler, the geometry teacher, asked if I could help tutor somebody every Thursday after school. I know, I know. It's not the most fun thing to do after school but since I was in Honors Geometry, the least I could do was help someone who was failing regular geometry.

Mr. Perkins was pairing people up for the Bubonic Plague project. I just sat back. Since I had no friends, I didn't care who my partner was."Stacy Sass and Nolan Tremaine are partners." Mr. Perkins announced.

I did not know who that was. I looked around the room to see if any other guy was doing the same thing, until I heard a sigh right behind me.

Oh no. Oh my god, no please no.

"Well? Aren't you gonna get our stuff?"

I was about to lose it. "Sure." I snapped back.

Nolan gave me dirty look as I walked to the counter to get the materials.

"Oh, and this project is due at the end of class tomorrow! Think of it as a challenge, a new way to work with people." Mr. Perkins announced.

Well my mind just shattered into a billion different pieces. Thanks Mr. Perkins.

"This is not happening." I muttered. "Nope, nope, nope."

Nolan must've overheard me because he spoke up. "Oh shut up and stop complaining. Just come to my house tomorrow so that we could get it done." he commented.

"I am not coming to your house." I declared.

"Okay, that's fine. We only have an hour tomorrow to research and give credit to all of the information we need and put it all down onto the poster. Plus, we also need to draw pictures and color them." He held up the rubric. "And according to this, we need at least 8 colored pictures to get an A. But you know, I don't really care about my grade anyway. From what I'm hearing right now, we're only gonna get an F, right?"

If there was only one thing that kept me from breaking Nolan in half, it was that I didn't want two of him around. Only a few more words and this kid would've pushed me to the edge. But, I guess he had a point so I gave up. He gave me his address. Then I found out that he lived on my street.

So done.
