***Chapter 11- Mr. Michael Jackson
It's dark.
Very dark.
That's because...
I have my eyes closed.
But, I can't open them. Or, they are open but there's something covering them. Shit.
"It's a shame somebody so beautiful is so stupid. Couldn't even keep her phone on silent." He laughs. "Don't worry, we'll be there soon."
I try to move, but I can't. Tears are burning my eyes.
I've realised that I'm stuck, in the back of this crazy man's van, or car.--------------
"Katie! Oh babe, not again!" Someone's crying. "We've got him, you're gonna be okay."
Who have they got? Wait a second...aren't I in a moving vehicle?
"Nurse?! She's going to be alright, right?" The voice sounds panicked. "You're not going to allow some random in here again. If you do, and she gets hurt, you're going to get a personal letter from my lawyer."
Is that? It couldn't be...is that Grayson?
He didn't kidnap me did he?
Ugh, just open your bloody eyes Katherin.
"Katherin? Oh my darling girl." I open my eyes to my mother's tear stained face. She plants a kiss on my cheek. "Are you okay?"
I nod, not being able to find my voice.
"Hey Katie, you good?" I turn my head to the nurse-threatening voice from earlier.
My Grayson.
Okay, just Gray, but he's mine. Only my best friend would threaten a nurse.
I smile at my family, yes family. The nurse comes through the door.
"Aww Katie, you're awake. How are you feeling?"
I shrug. Still can't talk.
"Let's get you a drink of water, you've had a nasty injury." She smiles, walking out of the door. At that moment, my forehead starts throbbing in agonising pain and I can feel threatening tears forming to fall.
Someone grabs my right hand.
"You're okay Katie. I promise, nobody else will ever hurt you again, you hear me?" I nod. "Katie I love you so much, don't ever think I'll allow someone to injure you physically or mentally again."
The pain disappears and instead, tears of happiness form my eyes. Grayson places a kiss on the top of my hand and then another one on my temple."Thank you." I say, finding my voice. "Thank you so much." A tear falls but he stops it reaching the corner of my mouth.
"Well I'm going to get a coffee. Call me if you need anything guys." My mum announces, breaking the mood that filled the room. With that, she leaves. Shutting me and Grayson alone together.
Perfect.
"Katie, maybe you should get some rest."
"No Grayson, I'm not leaving again." I plead.
"Katie..."
"No. If you can't handle my worst, you are not getting my best."
"You really want me to stay?" He questions.
"Yep." I smile.
"Move over silly." He nudges me and I move over to the edge of the bed. Grayson climbs in next to me on the bed, wrapping his strong arms around my waist and places his head on my shoulder.
