|Deku's POV|

Class had ended. I started to pack up my things. Kacchan suddenly grabbed my notebook out of my hand.

"I don't know what you think your doing Deku, but we aren't done." Kacchan said. His two friends standing behind him.

"What ya got? His diary?" One of them asked.

"Huh? Don't tell me your taking notes on how to be a hero." The other one said seeing the title of my book.

"That's so pathetic!" The other one laughed.

"He's delusional!"

"Yeah, real funny guys, just give it back... " I tried to tell Kacchan. Kacchan put my notebook between his palms and burned it using his quirk.

"AHHH!" I screamed. "That's so mean..." I mumbled. Kacchan then threw the scorched book out the open window behind him.

"AAAAHHHHHHH!" I yelped.

"Hmm, most first string hero's show potential early on. People look at them and just know their decided for greatness." Kacchan said without care.

"When I'm the first student from the garage Junior High to get into UA, people will start talking about me like that. They'll realize I'm legit, the next big thing. That's not ego talking I just know I'm good."

"Ego.." One of Kacchan's friends muttered.

Kacchan put a hand on my shoulder, slightly burning it.

"Here's a little word of advice, nerd. Don't even think of applying, or else." Kacchan said. Him and his friends began to reach the door.

'That's just sad. I thought you at least had some fight in you... " One said.

"He finally gets it. He'll never be a hero. Better to find out now than later I guess. " Kacchan stopped.

"Ya know, if you want to be a hero that badly there might actual be another way. Just pray you'll be born with a quirk in your next life. And take a Swan dive off of the building!" He scoffed. I looked up at him with attempted fury.

"Something wrong?" Kacchan asked as he created small explosions in his palms like firecrackers.

Of course something was wrong. Something was always wrong. I really need someone to talk to. But I decided to hold my tongue, and not say anything. Then, they left.

I just stood there. What would he do if I did actually jump?

Maybe I'll take a trip to the rooftop today.
