☁ C H A P T E R 2 ::

Nah, never even met the guy

      The beams from the sun came burning onto my eyelids as I flicked them open and registered my dad's loud knocks on the door as they ricocheted through the Anderson residence, characterising his fury.

      "Blair!" he bawled once more, "I've been knocking for the past 5 minutes, it's half an hour till school starts and you're still sleeping in there?" he added on.

      TripleShit

      "I'm up, I'm up!" I yelled back, staring at the clock pinned up against my wall and it was indeed 7:30am on the dot.

       Feeling my saliva go down my throat, I jumped onto my feet and rushed into the bathroom. Grimacing at the reflection staring back at my own.

      Sure, I wasn't one of those Disney princess who work up as though they were just doing a Victoria's Secret shoot just moments ago but I was actually pretty impressed that I managed not to dribble as much drool this time.

      I simply ruffled my hair a bit, made another face as I saw that I'd rather not shower than miss my breakfast. It was the most important meal of the day, right?

           Dashing back to my bedroom and throwing on a pair of clean faded blue skinny jeans and a loose white top, along with adding on a large amount of perfume on myself so nobody noticed that I hadn't showered that morning.

           I did this all with 20 minutes to spare, already knowing that my dad had already left for school since he was the principal. I would have to call up my friend Jordan for a ride this time around again. Wasting a few minutes trying to locate my phone, I quickly wrote;

Contact: Jordan

Heyo, need a ride. Pick me up?

       Running down the stairs, the smell of pancakes being wafted the air trotted into my nostrils as well as my mum silently singing "I like you" By Ben Rector, one of my favorite tunes, to herself. I wanted to pause my morning and admire on the things I loved about the world, Pancakes and her mum.

       I'm feeling guilty that I thought of pancakes first.

       But sadly, I didn't have that pause remote in my grasp, so I had to sauntered over and grab my share of pancakes on a plate.

     "Morning Mum, I saw Charlie yesterday, and I mean Charlie-harlie" I said, adding emphasis on the second nickname that always kept me in a nostalgic wave.

      But she hadn't even noticed my presence nor did she glance over to my direction. This agitated me a bit and I walked over to her direction and taped her shoulder lightly and noticed an earphone in her ear.

     And I thought I was the teenager here.

     Swiftly unplugging the earphone out of her ear, I succeeded in getting her attention by the looks of the face she gave me.

     "I was enjoying that song." She wailed, frowning.

      "Well, I was enjoying making some sort of communication to you but I guess we don't all win, now do we?"

       Registering that she's not usually seeing me at this time, she glanced over to the cerulean sky and to her watch. Her brown eyes widened, passing the extent, as she looked up at me.
