Okay so what the hell is up with everyone, their mom, and their dog, writing about some basic ass, white, able bodied, straight girl, who has the personality of a stale piece of bread?!
Seriously, every story is reliant on a good OC, and if your character is EXACTLY like the one I JUST read about, you bet your ass I'm clicking off faster than you can say 'Joey Tribbiani'
My best friend ryrythereadinggal is writing a book about an OC in in a wheelchair, and it's actually fucking interesting for a change.
I can't walk and it was nice to FINALLY see someone I can relate to in the Fanfiction, which I love to read.
Also, I would personally like to see some TVD OCs not in high school, that would super cool.
So please, be as outlandish and creative as you can with your story, make your OC fun to read about, but also relate-able to your audience.
Make your book about a a mute mermaid who travels to Mystic Falls, make your book about a girl who can shift into a freaking spider.
I don't know, just make it original, don't stick with the trends, make your own!
