Barry

I woke again but this time I wasn't panting and my forehead was dry. Having that talk with Caitlin must've cleared my head. Now I was just looking forward to landing in Australia.
Caitlin had chosen to sit next to Cisco so I had sat next to Grant which was a good choice because him and I had a long conversation and found we both had a lot in common like, we both wanted to be an actor when we were younger and both went to the same high school.
"Is there something happening between you and Caitlin because you two have been acting very awkward lately?" Asked Grant as he caught me looking over on Caitlin's direction. I debated in my head if I should tell him or not.
"You can't tell anyone I told you this but, five years ago Caitlin and I dated. We broke up and now that I found out that I had a daughter it's been awkward," I said almost in a whisper.
"that's rough man," he said not really knowing how to react to this.
"Now you can't tell anyone," I said in a serious voice.
"Wouldn't dream of it," he said. Now with the whole Caitlin saga out of my system I now just wanted to sit back and relax for once and enjoy this plane flight.
It took so long for me to get this sorted that by the time I had gotten into the zone the flight was about the land. The seat belt light flickered to life reminding the whole plane to clip up and prepare for landing. I hated landing in a plane, I was always petrified as a kid and I still am to this day. As the plane started to bump around a bit and my grip on the arm rest became so tight the tips of my fingers became white.
"Do you not like landing?" Asked Grant noticing me holding on for dear life.
"I've never liked landing," I said only just managing to get that out.
"Me neither," he said, as I noticed he too was griping the arm rest.

Once the terrifying landing was over the passengers piled out of the plane and headed off to the airport to collect their bags. I got a text from Cisco, it said to meet at the food court. I immediately headed over to the food court after collecting my bags.
"

Everyone one here?" Said Cisco as he stood up on his toes and started to count heads.
"Ok we got everyone," he said ticking something off a list. I glanced at the schedule Grant gave me. The city of Katherine is where we were heading to next. We now went over to the car hire desk and I noticed ever since we got out of the car that Caitlin was avoiding me. I mean I can't blame her. We did basically have a fight. She had been more closer to Julian, she sat next to him on the plane and was now standing next to him. A part of me felt jealous of this, deep down I still had feelings for Caitlin, I'm not sure if she feels the same way about me. She probably thinks that I'm still the man I was five years ago, arrogant, full of myself and of course leaving her.
We all squashed into the van with all of our equipment. Even when we were packed together in a van Caitlin seemed further away then ever before. I was hoping that on this trip we would be able to put the past behind us and move forward but all I have done is brought it back up again in the worst way possible. But then again Caitlin has been lying to me for the past five years, not telling me about Chloe. All of a sudden you now know that you have a daughter that has lived for five years not knowing you even exist isn't something you can just tell someone and expect them to not ask questions about it.
