(Deanna said)Jema volunteered to bring me to the airport. We stayed in her car at the parking lot before boarding.
"B, I have an idea! Akin na pendant mo," Jema said.
"Binabawi mo na ba?" I asked.
"Sa'yo muna yung akin. Palit lang tayo."
I did as told. "What for B?"
"At least we'll have a piece of each other wherever we go and we can keep each other close to our hearts..."
"Awww... sure ako mamimiss mo ko..."
She nodded. "Ngayon pa nga lang nalulungkot na ko."
I held her hand tightly as she laid her head on my shoulder.
"Mag-iingat ka dun ha," she said. "Come back here soon."
"Yes, baby. Don't worry about me."
When it was time for me to go, I turned my head to look at her, only to find out that she was sneaking a kiss on my cheek.
Everything else happened too fast as I found her lips landing on mine. It wasn't a long kiss but I knew right there and then that I would never forget that moment--her soft lips felt warm, it felt like home.
She pulled away first. Her cheeks were flushing and so were mine.
"We have to go. Baka mamiss mo ang flight," she said, fastening her seatbelt.
"Thanks sa pabaon!" I answered with a wink. "Pwede isa pa?"
She rolled her eyes and started the car. She tried hiding a smile but I could see a twinkle in her eyes.
When we arrived at the bay, we kissed again. This time it was firm with a sense of urgency and longingness.
"I'll see you in two weeks, baby!" I said. "I love you..."
"Have a safe flight, baby," she answered. "I love you too..."
I was feeling mixed emotions about coming home to Cebu.

I was so excited when I saw Ryan, my kababata, at the airport. Our families were business partners until his parents passed away when we were still kids. He chose to live with us and learn from Dad. He studied abroad and recently came home.
"Bai!" I screamed.
"Deanna!" Ryan said. He pulled me to a hug. "It's nice to see you."
"It's nice to see you too. Ikaw ba ang sundo ko?"
"Yup! Hinihintay ka na nila. Hero's welcome ba."
"Buang! Hindi nga kami nagchampion."
"Still... we're all proud of you." He patted my head and messed up my hair.
"I really hate it that you're taller na."
"Ha-ha. Ako gusto ko kasi nabubully na kita."

"I saw your video with that basketball player. I think he's a good match for you," my Dad said during dinner.
"Basketball player?" I responded before realizing he's referring to Ricci Rivero. "Oh you mean Ricci? He's nice but we're just friends, Dad."
"Friends could develop to more than friends naman di ba? I hope he comes from a good family. Maybe I could meet them when I go to Manila," Dad replied.
