Glimmer in the sadness of my heart
Tricks were always for me
I never wanted a treat
Everything hurts me
I have no armor
I want to say I'm brave
But we all know I'm not
One day
I'll find someone to save me
But now
Let me swim in my sadness
May I never find the shore
If I stay out here in the sea long enough
I might find a mermaid
Is this mermaid going to save me?
No
Even I know that your savior has to be real
And even I know
That you can't always count on the waves to help you move
