I stood by the water and felt the coolness of the liquid dance over my feet. My favorite place in the world was here, where it wasn't a beach because there wasn't any sand, but the grass made it up to the water line. The feeling of walking barefoot from the grass to the water was my own little piece of heaven, and this place allowed me to have an escape in this crazy world.

I lifted my hand and moved it across the water, watching it follow, and knew that I had to practice. I had to train.

"You know, for someone who says that they don't like to be found you're always easy to find." I heard a voice behind me, and turned around to see that it was Ellen.

"Guess that means I need to try harder." I said.

She made it to the water and stood by me, letting me turn my attention back to view. "You never let that façade die, do you?" Ellen said.

"I don't put on some face when people are around. Besides, I don't think you came all the way out here for some therapy session. What did you want?" I asked.

I saw from the corner of my eye, Ellen look from the water to me. "I need your help. Jo was kidnapped." She said, and I heard something in her voice that I have never heard from Ellen, fear.

"You own a bar that is filled with hunters and friends of yours, why come to me?" I asked.

"Because she was kidnapped by hundreds of demons, you're the only person I know who could get her back." Ellen said.

"I could kill her before I could save her Ellen, you know that." I said, slowly moving my hand again and watching the water follow.

"I wouldn't have come here if I didn't think that you could do this. This is Jo, this is my daughter and the person who was like your sister growing up. I wouldn't put her on the line if I didn't believe in you, if I didn't believe that you could do this." Ellen pleaded, another sign that I knew she was desperate.

"I have hurt a lot of people Ellen, I can't add Jo to that list. I try to be objective and stay to myself but I can't do that with Jo. I can't kill her Ellen." I admitted.

"You won't, you can do this. You train all the time and you have the control..." Ellen started but I interjected.

"I'm not in control. I still lose it and power shoots out. I don't stay alone because I like it. I don't isolate myself because that's what I always dreamed my life would be like. I do it because whether I like it or not, I'm half witch and I was created to kill people. That's the only thing I was made to do and no matter how hard I try, it still happens. I will never save enough people to make up for that." I said.

"You have saved hundreds upon thousands of people. You may have been born to kill, but you changed yourself to do the right thing. You always do your best to be better, and that's what matters. I know you care for me, for Jo, and I know you have the control to save her or else I wouldn't be here. You know I wouldn't put Jo's life on the line if I didn't believe that." Ellen said.

I stopped for a second, took a few deep breaths, and watched the water. Everything seemed so calm but I knew there was chaos out there and apparently Jo was right in the middle of it. "Alright. Tell me what happened." I said.

"She was out hunting with three other hunters, when they were bombarded with demons and they kidnapped her."

"That doesn't make sense, why would they kidnap her instead of just killing her? What do they want with her?" I asked.

"I don't know. They haven't asked for anything, they just took her." Ellen said.

"What about the other three hunters, were they killed?" I asked.
